Woodstock DCB37 Encore Collection Bronze Chimes of Earth Windchime

Far from noise, this set is tuneful. Just moved into a new build house by a main road and these chimes bring an air of tranquility to a sometimes noisy environment. We have them just outside the kitchen window so we can hear them, but they are subtle enough not to annoy neighbours, though to he honest this vs traffic noise is no contest even if they could. Beautiful colour (we went for bronze), superbly made and big enough not to have a tinkly tone. Absolutely recommended by us and will be looking for more chimes as the range are tuned to complement each other.

Bought these "Earth" chimes back in 2007, so Amazon informs me. They've lasted incredibly well. They're hung outside the back door, only partially protected by an overhang. The bronzed tubes have been well strung - never had to replace either the top separator or the windcatcher. I think I've maybe oiled the wood once or twice in the last nine years. The sound? Mellow, relaxed, calm. The effect on me is grounding; stabilising. Everybody who hears them comments on how lovely the harmonics are, so I know it's not just me who appreciates their tonal qualities. On a breezy day when all the tubes are singing, the harmonies are still in perfect cadence. These chimes have been tuned to ring, not clang. On a quieter day, maybe only one or two tubes are involved, a quiet, confident, melodic dialogue. These chimes are incapable of a jangling cacophony or an irritating chinkling. If you're thinking of a set of chimes, but want soothing, rounded, mellow harmony, and not chinkling or hysterical jangling, I recommend "Earth."

Absolutely beautiful wind chimes! They were a Christmas gift for my mum who absolutely loves them, after finding the right sounding one online due to not being able to see and hear them in person due to COVID, this was the most beautiful and harmonic sounding one. Beautiful earthy tones, perfectly in tune and chime wonderfully together. Really good value for money and fantastic quality. Really sturdy. I think I may now order one for myself to compliment my garden. Could not recommend enough!

Got these for my Mum after we went to a garden and she was fascinated by a quiet tinkling sound. We located the source and the garden owner whom we spoke to afterwards, said they had got theirs (which were very small ones) from US but couldn't remember the name. After searching online, I found the Woodstock website where they had every chime accompanied by a short audio playback of what each sounded like, which was incredibly useful as I didn't want a sharp or irritating tinkly sound. On arrival, I was scared these were going to be too big, but once in Mum's garden, and after trying several locations, they have proved to be quietly unobtrusive (sound-wise) whilst being noticeably relaxing, the tones and notes being softly low and soothing. I have treated the wood parts with lemon oil each year, but certainly suggest that this should be twice a year to properly preserve the wood. The chimes themselves seem to have been fine with a yearly soft cloth wipe inside and outside the tubes (a bit fidley but worth it). One of the best and most pleasing presents I've bought and Mum loves them .... so do I, and if I had a garden I'd have some too !!!

It is a nice bigger windchime, but quite pricey for a bit of wood, cord and what looks to be copper tubing. An ideal gift for somebody who loves their garden though. It hasn't been out of the box yet , due to the time of year and inclement weather, however, if it sounds like recorded chime, on the woodstock website, as it claims to, it will be quite pleasant; not too high in pitch and tinkley, which the smaller chimes have a tendency to do.

OK - for a collections of tubes string and wood this did not come cheap, but having been given a wind chime as a present which sounded a bit clunky and appeared cheap - I thought I would investigate more as I wanted to find something to remember my mum who died recently. What I got was way over my expectations. it looks beautiful and is a fitting and poignant tribute to my mother and helps me think of her everytime the wind catches it. The notes are resonant and sublime. Very happy

Gorgeous chimes! These 'Earth' chimes were given as a 70th Birthday present by my children to their Grandmother and she is very happy with them. the sound is wonderful, both soothing and engaging and not to loud for the neighbours! The quality of the chimes appears excellent, and they come with a life time guarantee. Highly recommended as a gift of anyone you know with a garden or outside space.

I was somewhat dubious about the Woodstock chimes as I thought they were incredibly expensive for something that would be hung in the garden! However, my wife insisted that I get her some...so I did. I have to say there is a huge difference in the quality of the product & the sound from those of a cheaper price. & I have had to agree with my wife that they were well worth it...they have a gentle peaceful sound that is very relaxing so, yes, I am a convert.

Ce carillon délivre un son cristallin d'une grande pureté. Nous en avions acheté un plus petit (2 fois également) dont le son est aussi joli et reposant mais plus faible. Il est resté pendu dehors plusieurs années avant que nous le remplacions par le même. Celui ci était un cadeau à la base mais quand nous l'avons entendu nous en avons commandé un 2nd pour nous ! Très bonne qualité des tubes et donc du son. Un petit regret pour la ficelle du 1er (plus petit) qui n'a pas résisté plus de quelques années sur la terrasse. Ces très beaux carillons valent le prix demandé.
