Best purchase i made this year, Now i live in the country with heavy machinery always passing by this work through the night, we also live on a lake with a heavy swan population 6 month a year, you dont know noise till 200+ swans chatter all night, anyway with these on i barely hear a thing, you can still slightly hear people talking to you if they in front of you but any outside noise gone, these are comfortable for hours of wear, i even put some inner ear headphone in my ears and put these on to listen to my show in peace. great for the workshop to, i have really bad tinnitus and power tools really are a pain to use but with this on i feel like i dont have to avoid using my tools anymoreProsGreat priceLooks like they will last for a long timeNice little carry case (bag)block out all unwanted soundKeeps ears warmComfortable to wear for hoursConsNone

Bought this item because I am highly sensitive to noise (to the point it can lead to sensory overload). I recently attended a course about deaf awareness and we had to fit a pair of ear defenders to make us aware of what it is to hear on low levels (or not at all). It was a revelation. The buzzing, whirring and all other inconveniences that plagued my head for decades suddenly vanished! It was like I was hearing for the first time, and I could not be grateful enough to the instructor to have shown me this wonderful accessory. Coming back to the Mpow, they are brilliant used on their own or, for complete efficiency, coupled with a pair of rubber ear-plugs. I use them every day now (only caveat is they look quite bulky and may attract inquisitive stares) and they prove to be a life saver for me, especially in public transport. They are also reasonably comfortable and can sit for hours on my head without too much bother. My only regret is not to have bought them before...

Picked these as they'd had good reviews, now I know why. I needed them for a branch shredder I have that leaves me with tinitus for hours after as they are so loud when the branches go through. I put these on and it was a pleasure to use the machine. Almost all the noise was blocked out and what was left was just background. They are comfortable to wear, and just a tiny bit heavy. But if they were lighter, they probably wouldn't be as effective. I'll now use them at every opportunity, tractor, chainsaw, strimmer. For the price, I don't think they could be beaten.

As per other descriptions. It is really good piece of kit. I've now used it for several jobs round our garden and it's brilliant. I was initially quite reluctant as I'm generally not a fan of ear covering headphones. I prefer the in-ear phones. Nonetheless these are well made, sturdy and my head does not ache after long use. They would easily fit all heads - my kids love them as well.

These ear defenders feel comfortable on the head and certainly deaden sound. I've no idea if it's 34db as I'd need speacialist equipment to tell that.They're well worth the money for the occassional home user, but they wouldn't be up to the rough use they'd find on a construction site.They come with a pouch to put them in when not in use. This is USELESS and went strait in the bin. In fact I almost took a star off because of it. It's far too small making it difficult to get them in and it only seals with a pull string which leaves a gap open at the top. As it's likely to be stored in a shed or garage along with other tools this isn't going to keep the dust or spiders out. A plastic zip bag of more ample proportions would have been of more use.

Decent ear defenders, work well, are pretty comfy (not perfect, but good). I've been using these while using power tools for protracted times. They're pretty comfy, arguably a bit heavy, and seem to sort of pull about when you move your head, but actually stay put pretty nicely and are fine to wear for 1-2 hours (so far, the longest I've used them for). I've even been wearing them with some in-ear headphones underneath, and they're fine like that too.

Right here's the lowdown. I'm 6ft tall and have an average size head. Albeit with no hair. These Ear defenders are too small! There seems to be a design flaw in them whereby when you open them to go over your ears they actually flatten down ie they shrink in height! This cannot be compensated by extending them as they don't extend far enough, so after a short while they cause a pain in your head and you have to take them off. There is no chance of wearing a hat at the same time! No good for me.However if you have a small head ( or child! ) or even a flat head they will be fine. They go over the ears well and they do reduce noise well and they seem well made, they just don't fit an adult well.

I'm autistic and bought this to help deal with loud noises. Itoesn't actually stop any noise but it does make it quieter and more bareable. You can still hear someone talking at a normal volume while wearing them. Comfortable and fits well.
