5.11 019 TDU Tactical Belt

A very well made belt, fit for purpose. Like many other customers I bought this belt for work and needed something that wouldn't keep setting off metal detectors. In that respect it fulfills that requirement. A relatively sturdy belt that doesn't crease or fold easily, unlike some thinner products that simply fold over. A good locking friction system that doesn't move once secured and contrary to one review it's a doddle to fasten and unfasten. Simply thread the tapered end through the plastic buckle. It does however sit slightly proud. An important observation is the medium size is at the edge of 34". None of us like to admit our waistlines increase with age but in hindsight I should have gone for the next size up. But me- a size 36" ? Never!!

Great quality product as I have come to expect from 5.11. As with the nature of a good quality belt in this style and the same problem you will experience with rucksack straps etc when they are good quality they are hard to simply pull through to adjust so this is a positive thing but results in an unavoidable negative if that makes sense. I am a 31inch waist and ordered the 32 to 34inch, this fits perfect with the perfect amount of excess. The only real negative again as a result of a positive is due to the material being so thick it causes the buckle to stick out a little, as a result this would not be suitable to wear under a duty belt. I would definitely recommend, overall great quality, looks good and does the job well!

I work at the airport and procured this belt as it has no metal and I don't have to take it off going through screening, No more embarrassing episodes with pants dropping to my ankle's as I pick up my tools. Also its a well made belt.

Bought this for my hubby to go with his 5.11 tactical trousers and he loves it. Ordered the medium for his 32" waist and it fitted him perfectly. Materials used are of a good quality and the design is simple yet practical. We just tried it out going through the security scanners at the airport and as it is plastic he didn't have to remove it and it didn't set the alarm off which made him a happy bunny. Perhaps a tad on the expensive side but a good buy if you go through secure areas often.

Good belt, nice build quality. I own various pieces of kit made by 5.11 and they are all well well made. Due to this belt not relying on holes to fasten it means you can make small adjustments to the size without having it being too big or too small, or in some cases needing to drill/punch new holes like with a conventional belt. Hoping this doesn't suffer from warping that all the traditional real leather belts I've owned seem to. However as it's also less than half the price of a leather belt I won't mind if I do need to replace this in a couple of years time.

This is an excellent work belt, very strong and will last for ever. It is light and easily adjusted to suit how you need.Can be worn casually with jeans also and still look good.An absolute must have.Wish i had bought one of these years ago instead of leather belts which eventually split or break.

I have used similar belts for a couple of years now, but they have a flip up plastic latch that allows you quickly tighten or loosen the belt. The issue with the aforementioned belt type was that the latch also opened on the other end (so that the belt could be shortened - a feature I never used or wanted) and would pop-open from time to time. So the hunt was on for something better. However, this belt is far more annoying to adjust, especially if you only want to tighten it a little bit. You end up having to loosen it a lot and then tighten it a lot, which isn't a great experience. At least there's no noisy velcro involved, but you think they could come up with something better than this. Overall, for what it is, it's a very, very expensive belt. Probably 3-4 times the price of my other belts and no real difference in quality, just a different fastener type.
