Strong and sweet
Strong taste Salmiak and very sweet and sugary.

Excellent quality
As a Dutchman who used to buy this type of liquorice as a kid I can say that this meets all the requirements. A strong salmiak taste makes it an excellent salty snack. Brits reading this beware. My wife has not acquired the taste for this, as have most people from the UK. It does not resemble the 'liquorice all sorts' by a long way.

I expected them to have a stronger flavour.
If you prefer a milder salmiak flavour, these are ideal.

Sweeter than I thought
I just love strong liquorice. When I ordered them, I thought they had a stronger salmiak filling. Even though they were much sweeter and not as strong as I had hoped, they were delicious. They only had one downside, that once I started to eat one, I had a hard time to stop eating more.

Horrible tasting coating
I am Dutch and love salty liquorice. I was hoping these would be like Heksehyl which I don’t seem to able to get in the UK but, although the inside is very similar, I hate the powdery coating which tastes like sweepings from a dusty floor. I used to chew liquorice root as a child but that didn’t taste anything like this coating. It’s so bad that I rinsed them all in a colander and let them dry so that now they are lovely. So five stars for the inside but three deducted for the outside and the hassle of having to rinse them.
