How do you switch modes, I push button and green light comes on.. I’d like steady on sometimes

Really don't think you can change modes. Never even thought about it. The reason I got them is for the meteor shower.

Can you time these times turn on and off?

Thanks for your question. Of course yes. Just long press the button about 3s to activate the timer(6 hours "On" and 18 hours "Off"). You shall enjoy wonderful lights show! Customer Service Team

How do you link them?

The ends have plugs to link, but they say only 3 strings

Will more than 3 strands sync together

I have only tried 3 and they sync great.
