Board is great, cover not so much
The ironing board itself is great for me, and for the price, but am not too impressed with the cover. Have to say here that I don't do much ironing, and have therefore not much experience with ironing boards - my previous ones were all very cheap. Thought it might make more sense to buy one that lasts a bit longer than to keep buying cheap ones every few years. Generally speaking, I was amazed at how much ironing boards cost - I consider £30 quite expensive for an ironing board.. but it's not, so expectations can't be too high, I suppose. The board is not too heavy (wouldn't exactly call it light-weight, either, though), feels very stable, unfolds, folds up and adjusts very smoothly using the lever. Maximum height is about 94 cm and you can set it as low as you like. The iron sets safely in the holder. The cover is just about thick enough so that you don't get the mesh pattern on your clothes when ironing (I didn't, anyway). The pattern is as shown on mine, which I quite like, but it's only just about big enough to fit on the board, there's barely any overlap around the edges. It is held in place with an elastic strip around the edge, which is not very tight, so it doesn't feel very secure. It has a foam backing, but it's quite thin, and for this to be a really good ironing board, in my opinion, you'd need to invest in either an additional foam or felt underlay, or in another cover with more foam and/or a layer of felt and possibly in some elastic clip-on straps to hold the cover securely in place. Am also not surprised at other reviewers saying the cover did not last long - am not too confident on that score, either, the fabric doesn't look very well woven, or feel very sturdy. But, I don't imagine you get a better cover with other boards in the same price range - it didn't look like it, from the boards I looked at, so tend to think this is general draw-back of buying the lower priced boards compared to paying £50 - 60. Maybe once the cover and clips are factored in, it's almost worth paying £50 right off..

Does the job, good size, good price and good value.
I was a little cautious about this ironing board as there were mixed reviews. However, some negative reviews go back as far as 2011 and this is a £20+ ironing board and not a £50+ board so some people have extremely highj expectations for cheaper products. As some negative comments are now seven years old, I took the risk and as I would expect any company to do, the product must have improved a lot. Some reviews have scored low because it is mesh and not board and others score lowly because the cover is thin. Some even claim the legs are unever and the board is wobbly. Now, I will look at the product I have received - it is not wobbly if on a level surface, the mesh rather than solid board is actually a positive when using steam irons as it prevents water building up and staining the cover and a thin cover allows the steam to penetrate the clothing etc. much more easily than a solid board which soaks the cover. All in all, this is a good product for the price and the size is brilliant. A pair of trousers can be laid out fully and the pointed end is great for sleeves etc. My ironing now takes less than 1/2 the time than it took with my previous ironing board, which was much more expensive but also much smaller. For those that want a reasonable quality, for a reasonable price, big ironing board, I recommend this product as it does the job intended and is good value for the price.

Lovely product but rubber missing
This is a good quality limited edition ironing board however the box was damaged and a rubber was missing, as bought through Amazon Marketplace have to pay postage to return so ended up ordering new rubbers from Minky for £5.49 inc postage so just be careful where you purchase from

Good for socks and T-shirts
Love this item but its not big enough for any suits so you might want to buy the one that'll slightly bigger. It took a little time to put together but it looks good when completed. Overall quite happy with this item but you can't get alot in the draws so you may want to consider buying one of the other larger style pieces of furniture if you want to put heavier items of clothing away.
