Collection Unisex Adults Watch A168WA

I've just dug this out of my drawer tonight and realised that I bought this 12 years ago... and yes it's still running on the same battery! Now I'll be honest, I very rarely wear this watch which probably helps battery longevity (e.g. not using watch functions and light). It's also much too small/light for my wrist (my daily is a 43mm auto so this Casio is tiny compared and feels it), however I can't knock the watch for this as it's a genuine retro classic and I hope they manufacture watches like this forever! As long you're happy with the smaller size, you can never go wrong with this watch, it's up there with the very best based on design, value, mass appeal and just utter retro coolness.

I've had a few Casio watches over the years and this one's been great great far. I bought this one around the end of October 2018 so coming up 3 years old at the time of writing this review. It looks nice and feels good enough on my wrist. The design hasn't changed much since it's release. I use this watch a fair ammount, its one of my 'general' watches I use and apart from a few scratches and marks, it's held up well. The waterproofing on the watch is good and has held up in the rain and whatnot. I will also add that the battery so far is still going strong although its supposed to last around 10 years. The timekeeping on the watch isn't bad, it's lost about 7 seconds of time over the last 6 months or so. The LCD is nice and clear to read too and the LED light is much better than the one on other models, I can see the time perfectly in the dark. I will say, the only criticisms I have are that it can get a little uncomfortable at times especially when the wrist strap catches the hairs on your arms and the clasp on mine has become a little dodgy over time. (It doesn't quite clasp as well anymore) Still, a great little watch for a good price! It has gone up in price since I bought it but not by a huge amount.

Lovely watch, I like the size as it suits my skinny forearms nicely. It displays the Hrs, Mins and Secs in both 24hr format & 12hr formats. Shows the day of the week & day of month in the same section as the time. It's fab how you an chose for the watch to notify you every new hour and also put a alarm on. The stopwatch mode is awesome too. However the metal strap is; One, very fiddly to readjust - especially if you're new to the mechanism. Two, it likes to catch on your forearm hairs a lot (I feel like my wrist is going to go bald quicker than my head at the rate it's yanking hair out). The alarm is also not very audible, so works better as a day time reminder than as a wake up call.

A timeless classic, the Casio a168 combines the rugged toughness and reliablility associated with the Casio pedigree, with a sleek stainless steel construction and clean digital display, to produce, in my opinion, the perfect budget watch. Any watch collection wouldn't be complete without a vintage casio digital. Wear it for any occasion, super versatile. The features are super intuitive and easy to use. The timekeeping is immaculate. It's just stupidly cheap for what you get. Solid, amazing quality, accurate, reliable, the battery is ridiculous, lasting 10 years plus before needing a replacement. Buy it for life, replace the battery once per decade, kind of a no brainer for the price. I know a guy with a watch collections worth over 30k, and his old digital Casio gets more wrist time than his Rolexs, Omegas or Cartiers. 5 stars all day.

Like some reviewers have suggested, when I first opened the box and tried the watch on, I was struck by how small it seemed. I even double checked the product page to make sure I hadn't ordered a child or ladies size. I was sure these were much bigger when I was at school in the 80s. But then I thought about it. Apart from the obvious phenomenon of objects generally seeming larger to the eyes and hands of a child, men's watches have also undeniably become huge over the last decade or two. I've got a Diesel watch who's face is easily double the size of this casio for instance. It may be that these re-issues are slightly smaller than originals, but equally possible that we have just become used to much larger mens watches. Either way, once over the shock, I love this watch and it makes a refreshing changes to wear a watch that hardly feels like its there, rather than a lead weight, swinging about my wrist. I'm certainly glad I bought it and at this price the nostalgia alone is a bargain, nevermind the fact you are getting a really nice, sleek, trustworthy, everyday watch.

Leggerissimo al polso, comodo da indossare tutto il giorno e con un design che sta bene praticamente con tutto. La qualità costruttiva è ottima per il prezzo: cinturino comodo, display chiaro e la classica illuminazione Casio che dà subito quell’effetto rétro iconico. Leggero, comodissimo da indossare e super versatile Per quello che costa è difficile trovare di meglio. Semplice, affidabile e senza tempo. Consigliatissimo!

■本体 初めてチプカシを買ってみたんですが、最初の印象は画像で見るよりかなりチープかなと感じましたが、すごいハマりそうです。 ホールはこれはこれでどこか未来感があるし、ベルトさえ違うものに変えたら色々楽しめそうです。チプカシ調べている内に色々欲しくなってしまって、最初はスタンダードっぽいこちらにしました。 A158やA164との大きな違いは背面のLEDライト？の部分だと思いますが、すごく見やすいです（画像）。 ただ、ライトが光る時間が短いというかボタンを押している間のみ光るという仕様になっています。7年寿命ということで節約してるのでしょうか。 ■サイズ調整 純正ベルトの調整はとても楽です。マイナスドライバーがあれば直ぐに変えられるので手軽で良かったです。

Lovely retro watch

The A168WA has that timeless retro look that somehow works whether you’re going for “practical adult” or “1980s tech genius who knows the launch codes.” It’s lightweight, comfortable, easy to read, and has that simple, reliable Casio quality that has been making people feel oddly loyal to digital watches for decades. For the price, it’s a great deal. It looks good, works well, and has way more style than it has any right to at this price point. Once I got the proper replacement, I was really happy with it. Classic look, dependable quality, and affordable enough that you don’t have to treat it like a museum artifact.
