Excellent sturdy case that hopefully I will not have to test its fireproof or waterproof properties, but will mention that it is extremely heavy for exactly those reasons.

This thing is an absolute beast. I wouldn't be surprised if it's bomb proof. As other users have said, it is very heavy but the handle makes it easier to move around and I think most grown men/women would be able to lift it without too much trouble. A4 paper fits in well but I wish it was a tiny bit bigger so all A4 papers could sit completely flat. With the way it is, A4 edges will curl ever so slightly up on the edges of the inside of the box. But if, like me, you only have a hand full of documents that you want to keep safely together in one place, this is a very good solution. I don't rate the lock much (reckon it could easily be picked by someone experienced in that) but it's good enough to stop kids, nosey guests etc having a peek. EDIT: Forgot to add, a fairly generous sized pouch of the silica stuff was included which is a bonus as you don't have to buy it separately or wait for your next pair of shoes.

* Physical This is a HEAVY duty piece of kit for the protection of a4 docs you can't afford to lose. It very heavy, with oversized clasp fastenings. The device is opened with the keys in the lock. It's locked when rotating and removal of the key. There are two keys and make a copy of the number in the safe is to be copied securely in case you lose both of these keys. It does say opening the document safe every month to stop papers going mouldy with trapped humidity. This can cope with extream heat and water protection to an impressive level. It's over-engineered but in a good way. its a fair price and it came quickly to our house. I had an issue with the locking mechanism of this deed safe, but eventually found their contact details and proved a great help. Youtube has a video on how to EASILY repair this locking issue. Yep, seems decent. Well constructed and has a wee bit more interior space than the others I looked at.

Heavy and solid poor catches made of plastic can't see them last in very long they seem to be the weak link in this item for the higher price paid for this item I think they could have made a better stronger catch

This deed box looks to be of good quality and, short of setting fire to it, up to the job. The key is required for the waterproofing to work and it needs to be locked before you can remove the key, but would hardly add to the security. The handle might be a weak point if you are lugging it around a lot. It is quite heavy. This is probably a consequence of the insulation required to make it fireproof. The internal rubber seal on the box is quite stiff and small in profile so not likely to wear. Inside there is ample space and an A4 sheet fits nicely with rather more space at the top and bottom of the pages. All round, for the quite reasonable price, I found nothing to complain about. Recommended.

Necesitaba un lugar seguro donde guardar documentos importantes protegidos de cualquier evento. El aspecto y el peso impresionan, una verdadera caja fuerte. Necesitaba que fuera a prueba de fuego y de inundaciones, por suerte todavía no he podido averiguar estas caracteristicas aún. Pero ojo! no es nada pequeño y ligero, todo lo contrario. Muy aconsejado.

Sehr hochwertige Verarbeitung. Der Innenraum dürfte 2 cm noch vertragen, da er meine DIN A 4 Blätter nur leicht gebogen verstaut.

Lieferung per DHL im normalen Zeitrahmen (ca 5 Werktage). Bedienungsanleitung in englischer Sprache plus verständliche Skizzen. Der Koffersafe wiegt ca 14kg... was auf seine hohe Widerstandsfähigkeit gegen Feuerhitze und Wasserdichtigkeit hoffen lässt. DIN A4-Blätter bzw -Verträge passen (samt Klarsichthüllen) ohne zu knicken hinein (keine DIN A4-Ordner !!!). Ich hoffe nicht, daß der Ernstfall einmal eintreten wird. Aber falls doch, dann vertraue ich auf diesen Dokumentenschutz.

altamente recomendable por la seguridad que aporta. el tamaño de capacidad es A4. pero justo justo A4, unos milímetros de margen hubieran sido de agradecer, ya que los documentos caben exactamente y a veces cuesta retirarlos para su consulta. en todo caso es una caja muy maciza y de elevado peso, que dan una gran sensación de confianza y seguridad. cierres pesados, duros y rígidos que completan el conjunto y la sensación de seguridad que transmiten

Parece que aguantaría lo que promete, pero faltan 1 cm de caja por cada lado para que entren bien los documentos. Vino envuelta simplemente en su caja, con lo que llegó la caja rota en una esquina y casi abierta por debajo, me parece que lo envían poco protegida. Pesa bastante, esperemos que aguante, pero tengo que comprar otra y no sé si elegiría éste mismo modelo por el sitio interior, no me gusta doblar los documentos importantes.
