Bulletproof Upgraded MCT / XCT Oil 946ml - 32 FL OZ

I have used about 3-4 different types of MCT oil and this is the best by far. It has a really smooth silky texture and taste that I haven't found with other brands such as PLV and OLIMP. It's actually quite nice to just have a sip of it directly from the cap, whearas before with the other brands there was always a bit of an icky taste.It's just arrived tonight and I've had a couple of quite small sips, and I don't even feel like I need to eat dinner! (although I did have a large lunch)I can't wait to try it in bulletproof coffee and finally have the best version of it.I think PVL is the closest one and honestly I think its certainly worth the extra cost (seeing as so far the XCT oil seems a lot more concentrated)Here's how the pence per ml compare with current prices on amazon:XCT oil - 3.19 p/mlPVL - 2.23 p/mlOLIMP 2.19 p/mlBest Body Nutrition - 2.07 p/ml (haven't tried this one)so for a litre its gonna cost you about £10 extra. Quality quality quality. The item is packaged safely to stop leaks and in a non BPA plastic container to prevent contamination. I was surprised how large the 32 fl oz bottle is, standing 22cm tall. The product is pure in both clarity and odour. If like me you have not tried this product before it is recommended that you take a small quantity say a teaspoon full before going on to the Bulletproof diet measures, so that it does not upset your stomach. I found that following this procedure meant that I had no adverse reaction to this product. I am using it now daily in my coffee and it mixes in very well and does not give that distinctive coconut taste that oil does. I love coconut but not sure that I want my morning coffee tasting of it, so this product is ideal. I find that my food craving is delayed well into the afternoon and I am amazed that having only been on the diet for a week, I have dropped six pounds already.

I've been drinking bulletproof coffee for a last three years now but i use coconut milk and coconut oil for a diary free option. I had tried MCT oil (the NOW brand) before and it made me feel bad so I gave it up. However as I've been Paleo three years and started on the keto diet back in 2014 I'm pretty adapted now and decided to dive in and buy this oil as I was using up my coconut oil which I use I cooking and baking. I'm so glad I made the switch. I only use 1-2 tsp a day so it's lasting me quite a while and I do feel like I have a boost in the mornings. Now you could argue it's a placebo effect but I don't think it is. See I drink BP coffee as it helps me get my fats into my diet (which I follow for health reasons). Ive being drinking it for so long that I don't really feel it's any different from just having coffee so I wasn't expecting it to be anything different. However ive noticed I do feel a lot more perky in the mornings and it's been since I changed from coconut oil to this (after about a week). This version contains caprylic acid too which could be part of the reason as its great for the mitochondria!! I'm so happy with it that I want to try the other bullet proof items. However be warned - if you are not used to high fats in your diet this can cause Diarrhoea and really bad painful stomach cramping/ pain! (All MCT oils and high fats will). So start small!! Say 1/2 tsp to begin with and build up.

Dave Asprey is at it again with an excellent product. I am noticeably more alert on this MCT oil, which goes great in my Bulletproof coffee.My only complaint is that the bottle lid tends to be a bit leaky, so that the bottle ends up quite oily/slippy over time. Overall this is a great supplement and can be used for anything. I coat my grass fed steaks in this oil before seasoning and cooking them slowly. Nothing to complain about for the oil, I just wish the packaging was better. I believe Dave is addressing this problem in future, so keep an eye out!

My family and I have been bulletproof for just over a month, and we absolutely love the Upgraded Octane Oil. But we travel around a lot, which often makes getting the oil a challenge (or very expensive to ship). We were super happy to find it in the Bulletproof UK store, and in the GIANT bottles! We can go through the 400ml bottle in a week flat between making coffee and cooking. While we're here in Ireland and the UK, we'll be buying this big baby off of Amazon to keep a steady stock. It's worth the investment for the phenomenal increase in mental performance and physical energy we get on a daily basis.

Such a shame to receive a leaked bottle . Even though the bottle is closed it somehow has leaked into the box .

..could spend ages searching around to save a few £ on a cheaper alternative but I trust and support Dave Asprey; he's worth the investment.Odourless, colourless but incredible stuff. I drink it every morning in my bulletproof coffee....glug it through the day, chuck it on veg, in green tea... just stabilises everything, mood, hangry reduction.This is my 2nd bottle I've purchased now and despite my over consumption :) I've not experienced 'disaster pants' just pure bliss.Dave keep doing what you are doing - the world is a happier, healthier, bulletproof place.x
