works well however, the bottle opener isn't very great. can't open most bottles, but the corkscrew works well for wines. lightweight and handy to have as a bartender. good value for money.

The design of this piece of sommelier's kit has been around for decades so the basic operation is sound. The question is how long the bottle opener will last. The brittle plastic of the handles is likely to chip if dropped and the metalwork seems to be held together by quite a narrow, soft rivet. Experience suggests that an all-metal construction would be far more durable, albeit costing at least twice as much.

I love wine waiter's corkscrews, but this is the worst I've ever used. The corkscrew part is already coming away from its fixing and I've only used it once. The whole thing looks ready to fall apart as soon as you take it out of the box. Cheap price, but not worth even that as definitely unfit for purpose. Avoid!
