Is this supposed to be bright yellow and grainy almost like a sugar scrub ! Couldn’t use it on my daughters hair without grains being in her hair

Mine was like thick cream not grainy at all. I would return it if I were you.

Is this good for low porosity hair?

Yes it's really good i have low porosity hair and I works great for mine.

Do you have to wash it ? I thought its mask which you leave for few minutes ..

Let it absorb into your hair and style like usually. If your hair is getting dry during the week and you will not wash your hair soon, you can use it to refresh your hair just by spraying your hair with water and then apply the cream, let it absorb and style as usually. Note: don't apply too much because it's a rich thick cream.
