Brilliant, easy to set up. Can’t believe I put up with old worn out controls for so long!

Older SKY+ HD handset worked, but some buttons needed to be pressed a lot harder than others and repeatedly; this new one works beautifully. Batteries supplied inserted and it worked straight away, EXCEPT the volume buttons which I’d read was an issue on other reviews. Firstly, search for your ‘Sky Remote TV Brand 4 Digit Code’ on line. If you are using an older Sky+ HD or standard Sky remote then follow the instructions below: - ⁠Press the TV button at the top of your remote. - ⁠Press and hold the Select and Red buttons together until red light at top flashes twice. - ⁠Press the TV button again, then enter the 4-digit code (e.g., 0206). - ⁠Press the Standby/Power button on your remote. If the TV turns off, press Select to save the code. If it doesn't turn off, repeat the process with the next code. The code depends on which TV you have. Hope this helps 🙌🏽

Product description clearly says this comes in Sky packaging, not that it’s an “official” Sky remote. It only arrived today and so far, it’s okay . Over 16 years with Sky I’ve had to replace the remote twice and each time had to programme it. Not difficult and I have to admit I was sceptical when I read this worked straight out of the box. It did. Everything else works fine except, like others who have purchased this, the volume button does not work. I can use the tv remote for that so don’t plan to return

Many negative reviews focus on not being able to use volume controls. You have to press 2 buttons together wait for red light on remote to flash twice then enter a 4 digit code corresponding to your TV make. All these details can found online. Pressing 1 and 3 didn't work so pressed TV then red button and SELECT together, red light blinked twice then entered an code found online and it worked ! Really pleased with it, no problems at all.

The day after posting my original profuct review, I was throwing out the Sky remote box it came in and discovered that in the bottom there were in fact 2 Duracell AA batteries inside a small white cardboard box! So, hence I have changed my review from 4 to 5 stars Apologies to the retailer for this and would recommend any future purchaser of this item to check the packaging thoroughly before posting their review 🙂 It does seem to be a genuine Sky product ...was wrapped and boxed in Sky packaging and feels a lot weightier than previous remotes I have purchased and works as it should. Hopefully this will last a whole lot longer than those purchased previously. The only thing I am a bit miffed about is that 2 days after I purchased it, the price was reduced by £2! 😒update......the discovery of the batteries cheered me up though 😄
