Definitely not, they claim they are "waterproof" and "smudgeproof" but when I inked in my drawing (which I normally have no issue with at all with uni pigment liners) they ran and smudged all over the place, and I almost ruined a painting I have been working on for ages. Definitely not waterproof at all.

Is the ink is permanent if used on glass surface?

The pigma website says that these are not permanent on glass surfaces.

You can, but it's honestly cheaper to buy new pens... do not attempt to put in a different brand of ink, it will not work.

Can you use these just for writing

I don't see why not as they make different width lines. I've used them for outlining pictures, shading and I'm sure I've used them to write words in my journalling and found them good.
