for MagSafe Phone Grip, O-Mag Ring MagFit Phone Holder Strong Magnet

Product seemed sturdy. Magnet was not nearly as strong as some of the reviews, and I read many before buying. I tried it right after I opened it and thought I should send this back, it isn’t going to work as it kept sliding around on the back of my phone. The next day, I placed on my phone in the AM and sometime that morning it fell off and is lost forever. Less than 24 hours after purchasing, it is gone and I have nothing to return. Update*** found the magnet!!! I describe the issue to a co-worker. He told me that even though my phone case allows wireless charging, I should buy one with the additional magnet. So I did. And now the magnet works perfectly!!! So make sure that you have the wireless charging case with the additional magnet!!

Got this because I thought it looked cool and it goes with the new MagFit case I bought for my phone. Turns out it come in handy and it is easily removed when I need to put it in a charger or mount. Only problem is having to remember to put it back on but that is a small issue. Magnet strong enough to hang phone on hook when not in use. Can use as stand for viewing. Seldom do but yes, I even hook my finger through it in those situations when I am concerned that my phone will fall. As a "popsocket", it looks and works great.

Let’s address the elephant in the room, the magnet strength. The reviews I read before were all alluding to the fact that this will not stay on your phone, which is true, if you’re using your phone as a fidget spinning device. It is a magnet, of course you can not twirl your phone around in circles like a 2 year old and expect this to not come off. Which is also a pro because it does not leave the terrible adhesive residue on your phone that others leave behind. But this still has strength enough to use it as it should be used, although I don’t advise walking around holding your phone by this because with a few shakes this will pop off. I have had no problem with it popping off though but I also don’t use this to hold my phone. It also just creates a nice place to rest your fingers on the back of the phone. It just feels nice, as well as it looks good on the phone. A downside is that you can not use a MagSafe device with this on, but then again it is a magnet and easily just pops right off. In conclusion, if I somehow lost this one, I would definitely purchase another.

Second Update (3/9/24): The replacement failed just like the first one. I purchased another one but it has failed too. I think this product just has a short shelf life. Expect it to fail after a few months and either purchase it again or find a product with more longevity. Updated: I must have just gotten a dud the first round. Look, mistakes happen but how you react to those mistakes tell you a lot about your character. After my initial review (which you can find here), I was contacted by Spigen and they offered a replacement product. The replacement has functioned as expected and is of the quality you would expect with this product. The pin in hinge has remained where it should and the strength of the hinge is what you would expect. I am modifying the review to reflect 5 stars for the quality of the replacement and for the company caring enough to resolve the quality issue for the customer. It worked great until the hinge wore out. This was after about 60 days. It is pretty disappointing because I had no issues with this product until it happened. In fact, I really liked it. It was very well put together - sturdy, removable but not too easily removable, and flexible in that you could spin the ring to be more accommodating for the hand you are holding it with or for the orientation of the screen you need. After about 2 months, it appears as thought the pin that holds the hinge in place has begun to come out, decreasing the strength of the hinge. If you need a product for a month or two, this one will fit the bill. If you are looking for something to last a bit longer, I encourage you to look elsewhere. ***Update*** Spigen support contacted me and apologized for the inconvenience. It sounds like the item I received may have been defective so they provided me another (for free) to give it another try. I’ll report back my findings after using the new one for a few months and adjust my review accordingly. Solid customer support - it is nice to see a company that stands behind their product.

It lasted a little more than a month and the spring that holds the finger handle in place gave up. I liked how it works, but it's not really useful as a kick stand to hold the phone up. The magnet works well with the Spigen case and just snaps on, held on with the strong Earth magnets inside. It did scratch the case slightly, but that's fine because the case is a matte black and it's hard to see the scratches. I'd give it 4 stars if the handle didn't die on me.

I wish the magnet was stronger, but otherwise it’s good. I had to get used to using it. UPDATE: After 8 months later, after what I would consider light use, the ring wouldn’t stay in place and would make a playing sound and I could see part of a silver metal piece. I bought this piece based on brand recognition but I take it isn’t all that durable.

PRO's: (1) The magnet is very strong and will stay put. I have never had it fall off. (2) If you have large fingers, as in thick, not long, this will be perfect for you. CON's: (1) After 3 Months, the ring that you pull out to use it as a stand is collapsing. It's almost like it's lost it's sturdiness. (2) The ring has a flat edge which is great if you set it down perfectly, but most of the time I am moving the ring a few times so that it isn't lopsided. Annoying. (3) I have long thinner fingers (normal, not like weird or anything) so I can use most O-Mag rings like this one or popsockets easily. However, this Spigen O-Mag Ring is so big that my finger(s) cannot hold it securely. I tried closing the ring so it was closer to my phone case and tighter on my finger, but that didn't work because the ring kept opening back up again. So, for the last 3 months, I've mostly used it as a stand. (4) The ring that you pull out from the middle is hard to grab and after 3 months using it as a stand, it is very scuffed. Conclusion: I'll probably not use this anymore as I can't secure it to my fingers and using it as a stand it kind of annoying. Anyway, that is my 3 month review. Love, the Peanut Gallery.

This phone grip is ideal. I was on edge using my new phone, fearful of dropping it. Then my phone grip arrived and I can breathe again. The magnet is amazing powerful and secure. I love this little gadget and highly recommend it.

Hebt gut auch an den Case..ist aber nicht 100% sicher so wie den anderen Ring denn man drauf klebt ..Aber dafür diesen kann man jederzeit runter machen und das finde ich sehr cool ! Es ist ein Muss für iPhone MAX !

Received on 20 Aug 23. Writing review on 19 Nov 23. The kickstand was working well for 4mths until it started becoming a bit loose and unable to support the weight of my phone+case. Still can prop it up with the kickstand, but when slight table vibration or push on the screen, it'll topple over. Was hoping it to last longer for S$35.99 though.
