Worked quick and easy to program
I simply cracked open the old remote, paying attention to the key and spring location and winding. Cracked open the new remote, put the old key inside the one main bigger half , inserted the spring, put the smaller half against the bigger half just enough to catch the spring, I rotated the smaller half counterclockwise 1.5 times, and snapped them together. Since I had another old broken button key fob, I got in the equinox, shut door, turned key to on position not to start it, gave it one second , took the old key out and inserted the new one and turned it to on as well for a second then took key out of ignition and pressed each button confirming it took. Done fast and simple. Thank you for making it easy!!

Good overall product, just like the OEM
Everything is well made just like when you first got your keyfob from the dealer, however, like the original, overtime the heat will warp it and sometimes the buttons stop working because the inner parts move around (the little pieces that make the clicking sensation). If you have an old laser cut key, it's easy to reprogram. Just insert the old key with the old fob first and start your car, then put the old key with the new fob and start your car. If that doesn't work, YouTube is your friend. If you don't already have a laser cut key, you will have to get a lock smith to copy one from your mechanical key using a special machine (HomeDepot or Lowes does not have this machine). Mine cost about $50 to do it. Then you will have to do extra work to program the keyfob to your car (again YouTube has the videos).

Easy to set up and install
Was easy to set up and install. If the application cannot find your car then review the video's they have posted for your manufacturer. This will give you instructions on how to program your FOB. So far, is working very well. No issues. Had the key cut since the old key would not fit into the new key fob case. Total cost was much less than 50% of what it would cost me at the dealership.

Great price⦠for a FAIL!
I spent a couple of weeks looking for a good deal and good recommendations for new key fobs. I settled on this one ultimately. What a mistake! The fobs arrived within a week, which was great. I took them to the dealer to have them programmed, which was expensive. They told me that I had to pay per key for programming but no guarantees because they were not OEM. One of the batteries was DOA, and the dealer replaced it for free. The fobs lasted for one week before BOTH OF THEM FAILED. I do not recommend these fobs! I have replaced the batteries and they still do not work. Buyer beware!

Didn't last a year before it broke
Bought to replace the original from the metal switchblade key holster breaking. Replaced the key and kept the old fob as a backup lock. Boy I'm glad I did! This is the state of this key after 11 months of use. The unlock button stopped working a few days ago, so now I'm toting around my old fob just to unlock the car, and using this fob to turn the car on... it's clunky but it works for now! Pulling my old fob back out, I was surprised at how much squishier this button pad is, vs. the og is very firm and only showing the faintest of cracks on the buttons. Seems like that's partly what led to the warping. I'll be trying a different brand this time around, hopefully one that has a Chevy bowtie and will last longer than a year. For those who are looking to do what I did and just replace their key and use the new fob, the quoted method floating around of switching from the old key to the new wasn't working for me, so here's what I did: -Have the key solo, removed from any fob casing (clamp it down and use a needle or thin nail and a hammer to get the pin out) -Take each fob, the previous one and the new, unprogrammed fob and have the switchblade button pushed open so you can fit the key in the slot (like it normally looks when you drive) -put the key in the previous fob, and put the key into the ignition and turn the car on. KEEP CAR ON FOR THE NEXT PART! -WHILE IT'S STILL RUNNING, pull the previous fob away from the key and replace with the new fob. Run for a minute or so. -Turn the car off. Your new fob should now be programmed, and now you have a backup!

Good replacement key
This key works perfectly after cutting and programming. I bought it thinking I could switch the guts from my broken fob. I was able to get both fobs apart and started switching the case out. I then realized the push button is a little larger on the replacement fob when trying to swap the key. Also the area on the case where the key flips is slightly different. With this I was unable to complete the swap of just the internals and the key. I put the old and new key back together and took it to a locksmith. They cut and programmed the new key. The buttons on my old fob are cracked out but it still functions great as a spare now.
