This works excellently! It was really inexpensive but sturdier (while still being pretty light weight) that the last one I had that I paid more for that broke immediately. We like to use it to crisp up tops of food as been as heating up a hot poker for beer. It's easy to use too.

I bought one about 2 years ago and use it almost everyday with no fail. It's very solid. Best nine bucks I've ever spent. Lighting charcoal chimney, propane barbecues, propane heaters, outdoor fish smoker. Heating stuck bolts to get them loose. Getting fire started in my fire pit. Lighting cigarettes when everyone steals my lighters. This one is too big to walk off with😀

This one is much better than the RXLIFE one I bought prior. Works well with my Oxalic acid vaporizer for my beehives.

The 5 stars is based on the fact that this product works exactly as I expected it to. It fires up a nice flame every time without issue and has worked for me every time I've tried to use it. I purchased it thinking I'd be able to use it to sear meat, for that it has been a failure but that is due to my lack of research. There are purpose built products for searing meat that should be used instead. When using this to sear you get an off taste and small burnt spots no matter how quickly you move it over the meat. For the price this thing is fantastic. I now use it to start fires and for heating shrink tubing... both of which it excels at. Bottom line: If you're getting it to sear meat with... don't.

28NOV24 Unbelievable! It's leaking at the canister already, just one day later. I'm sending it back. This thing is more dangerous than I thought. 27NOV24 If you purchase one of these PLEASE make sure there's no butane leak where the canister attaches. Upon assembly, I could actually hear the leaking butane! This is a very hazardous condition. It's a fire hazard, a burn hazard, as well as an explosion hazard. Disconnect the canister immediately if there is a leak. You can use kids Soap Bubbles to detect a leak, especially for a small leak. I'm an engineer and I found the problem to be a very poor fit for the two O-rings that seal the canister. Part of the problem was poorly made parts. I had to remove metal flashing (excessive metal left behind in the production process) as well as use a silicone vacuum grease to allow the O-rings to reliably seal. After doing this the seal works OK. DUE TO THE POOR CONSTRUCTION, I DO NOT INTEND TO LEAVE THE TORCH ATTACHED TO THE CANISTER, EVER.

This is the answer to the higher priced propane version. If you shop(Amazon) and buy larger lots, you can buy these cans of fuel for about $2.00. And the fuel can be used for heaters, grills, etc.

Très bon chalumeau qui permet de régler l'intensité de la flamme. Ravie d'avoir retrouvé ce produit sur Amazon, précédemment acheté aux US. L'embout à encocher sur la bonbonne semble cependant plus fragile qu'auparavant.
