Velaze 6 QT Enameled Cast Iron Dutch Oven Pot with Lid, Red

This is a really nice dutch oven! Its plenty big and will last forever if taken care of. I'd say I'd buy it again but I don't think im going to have to. Its realy heavy and the enamel is nice.

This Dutch oven is a beautiful, rich red color that I absolutely love (my photo does not do it justice). The finish is really smooth and glossy. I was hesitant to use it on my glass ceramic cooktop, but after receiving the product I am not worried that it will scratch or damage anything because the bottom is flat and perfect. My main intention is to use it in the oven to make chilis, stews, pot roasts, pot pies, or for baking bread (I want to try sourdough). I think it will be great for these foods. I made chili with chicken in it and it worked very well, with really nice even heating and nothing got burned. It is very heavy and feels very durable. Since it is cast iron underneath the enamel coating you do have to be careful in two ways. One, you don’t want to scratch the coating and two, if you drop this pot it could definitely break other dishes. Also it says to be careful not to shock it with abrupt temperature changes. Since I am using this for larger cooking items like stews for in the oven, I got the 7.5 QT oval size, but if you are cooking for only 1 or 2 people or not making large quantities I think the smaller round version would fit better on the cooktop and be easier to handle because it would have a smaller size and weight. This product is so sturdy that I think I will be able to use it for many, many years. It also cleaned up really easily with no issues. So to sum up this seems to be a great quality product and at a great price. And the amazing color makes it beautiful looking too! I would buy it again and it would make a great gift for newlyweds.

Excellent Dutch Oven Pot. I was actually looking for an 8QT Dutch Oven Pot to meet my baking needs but the 7.5QT oval-shaped pot was the biggest one I found on Amazon. I use it to bake bread, the dough raises well in the oven but sometimes touches the lid, hence the 8QT need! Excellent quality, great workmanship, heavy, sturdy, lid closes perfectly, resistant to 500’F my recipe calls for. The enamel is smooth all around inside and out, without any dents, bumbs or chips. Love it and highly recommend it!

Love this oval Dutch oven. Beautiful blue enamel and plenty deep enough for my sourdough bread. I’ve only used it once but I look forward to cooking in it, whether baking, braising or stewing.

Der Topf hat bis zur Oberkante ohne Deckel gerade mal knapp 5,5 l. 7,5 QT sind mehr als 7l! Es ist nicht ersichtlich, dass sich der Inhalt aus Topf- plus Deckelvolumen zusammensetzt.

Excellente cocotte en fonte Velaze ! Elle est robuste, lourde et inspire immédiatement confiance. La cuisson est parfaitement homogène grâce à la fonte émaillée, ce qui permet de réussir aussi bien les mijotés que les rôtis ou les pains maison. La taille de 6 pintes est idéale pour les repas familiaux. Le couvercle s’ajuste bien et conserve parfaitement l’humidité et les saveurs. Les poignées sont solides et pratiques pour la manipulation. Un produit de grande qualité, durable et très polyvalent en cuisine. Je la recommande sans hésitation !
