Peak Performance Hydrolyzed Bone Broth + Collagen Protein Peptides Powder

I never write reviews on products I buy, but I really had to for this one. I don’t have any aches and pains to speak of, the result of great genes and living in a desert community I guess, but I have had amazing results with hair growth. I’m in my 60’s so I’ve noticed that with age the shaft of my baby fine hair were getting finer and the color was fading. I’m not big on chemicals so I don’t color my hair or use hair care products and I don’t own a hair dryer. I’m a no fuss kind of person and I figured the changes were part of the aging process. A couple of months ago I became aware that my hair was growing very quickly for me. My hair normally grows very slowly in summer, faster in winter. I hadn’t had a haircut for 15 months, but in that time I’d gone from a boy short pixie cut to a length that was past my shoulders. I didn’t give it much more than a, “mmm that’s kind of cool,” thought and just kept going. It wasn’t until about a week ago I looked at a strand of hair after washing it that I got a surprise. The bottom half of the strand was very fine and light in color; the top half, the part growing from my scalp, was coming in thick and dark - very dark. It was a very obvious distinction that could be seen with the naked eye. So after I did the happy dance in my bathroom, the only thing I could trace back to doing for a significant amount of time over the 15 months was too add a scoop of the Hydrolyzed Bone Broth + Collagen Protien Peptides Powder to my bullet coffee almost every morning. I’ll be honest, I’m horrible about taking my vitamins and supplements. I line them up on the counter every night but 5 days out of 7 I forget to take them. I drink green smoothies several times a week, it’s easier than eating vegetables but it’s hard in the winter getting locally grown organic greens. Coffee - I need it to start my day! Don’t even talk to me until I’ve had my first cup and throwing a scoop of collagen into it has become second nature. A perfect addition, it doesn’t alter the taste of my favorite blend and it mixes well in the blender. This stuff is making a difference and I’m definitely not going to miss a day adding it to my morning brew. So I was getting that long overdue haircut last week and my stylist was complimenting me on my healthy hair when I overheard the lady next to me telling her stylist that she had started adding collegen to her coffee. She explained that since doing so, she had noticed her hair was growing faster and was a lot healthier. Talk about coincidence! When I first bought this product I wasn’t sure it would work, but it’s definitely worth taking. I hope it works as well for anyone who reads this.

It’s probably an effective product, but I will never know because it reeks. It smells like an actual bumhole. Ugh. I had to pour out my coffee. Just could not get past the smell. I’ll have to keep looking for another supplement that is truly tasteless, or that at least doesn’t overwhelm your beverages with culo. Also it’s bitter. It’s hard to dissolve, which isn’t a deal breaker by itself. I’m probably just being a wuss but I just can’t do it.

This bone broth powder is my favorite. I have been using it for several years. I appreciate that it is flavorless because that allows me to add it to many different recipes. I use it daily in my morning cup of coffee, add it to hot cocoa, add to warm water with sea salt and nori for a quick cup of bone broth soup. The price is on par of not better than some others. It doesn't have a strong meaty flavor so it can go in virtually any meal. I have noticed my joint health improving, I take a lot of supplements so it's hard to say if this is the supplement that is doing that alone, but it is one I do not go without.

I would really appreciate someone from the company to contact me. I loved this product but they changed the formula. It took away the pain of achy joints. I recommended this to everyone, now I am recommending another brand because the taste is SO awful now but my joints ache again. I would give the original formula 5 stars but they changed it. I was using this product for over 3 years. I recommended it to everyone, bought it for my mother. I tried other collegan products & always come back to this one because is took away my joint pain. Unmistakably! It was tasteless but thick. I had to work at it to mix it in my coffee. Mixes fine in my smoothies (ninja blender). It WAS tasteless but they changed it! I noticed immediately it was finer, smelt like it had gone bad & I didn't have to mix it. The taste....it is disgusting! The smell is awful. I thought it was a bad batch. I'm on my 4th tub now & I will not use it. It tastes like death. I would like to speak with someone from the company because I have been raving about this product for years & recommending it to everyone! I've done a ton of research on bone broth, collegan, gelatin, the different types, the benefits, etc. I think it is a wonderful thing for leaky gut, autoimmune diseases, building muscle, joints, cartlidge, bones, hair, skin, nails, brain fog, you name it! I will speak of the product before they changed it. You don't notice the results until you stop taking it. I don't have bad skin but I'm 46. It's amazing for your skin. Not a wrinkle. I never noticed my hair growing any longer or faster. I believe it is thicker, less dry & brittle when I use it. I have hypothyroidism so my hair never wants to grow. I WAS hoping for it with collegan. The biggest differences is my knees didn't hurt. I didn't notice it until I ran out the first time & I got all these aches & pains & realized they weren't new pains, they were old but I'd forgotten about them. I started taking this again & the pain is always gone within days. I could feel the difference of the consistently with this and other powders. I really wish they'd go back to how is was before. I can't drink this. It tastes like fish & old blood.

I love this brand and this product. I am lactose intolerant and whey breaks my skin out. I also have a sensitive stomach in general— but this has not upset my stomach or my skin at all. I put it in my chia pudding breakfast meal prep and it’s tasteless, which is nice.

Accidentally ordered it, couldn't return it 🙄 that was the first red flag. Then decided to try it since I cant send it back. Absolutely awful smell(due to the bone broth part). I thought i could get passed it, but not even a little bit. The scoop is massive and only has 8g collagen and 8g bone broth. Its shouldnt take that much powder to get such a small amount of grams. Then the Absolute worst part...IT DOESNT DISSOLVE! at first I thought the water wasnt hot enough. So did it again with almost boiling water, still not great. So then I did it again with just half a scoop, and it was an improvement but still had chunks! I wish it would dissolve properly so I could at least get use of it in a soup/stew!

I initially purchased this product because it boasts all 3 collagen types, and because it is very clear about from where the collagen comes: grass-fed cows. I like knowing what I'm probably into my body. I was especially drawn to this product specifically for the collagen type 2, which not all brands include. That's the type that is supposed to help your joints & cartilage. When I received it, I was surprised at how large the container was. I got more than I was expecting. Bonus! It is an off-white powder and comes with a scoop. Doesn't have a strong smell when dry. I have been adding 1/2 scoop to my coffee. It dissolves pretty well, and while it's flavorless, it has an unpleasant smell I can't quite put my finger on. I've been masking it with cream, etc. The best thing about this product is that it in noticing less joint discomfort, specifically in my ankles, which tend to pop and feel strained when I have to stand on my tiptoes/stretch to reach something. I'm going to keep adding this to my coffee. Edit: I finally put my finger on the smell. It smells like when I get my teeth drilled at the dentist. So. Not pleasant.
