These definitely work better for buffering fragile skin. Compression socks are too tight and can pull off fragile skin very easily. They each are great at what they’re made for - they are not interchangeable. This product was perfect for my elderly mom, whose skin was thinner than tissue paper......and very comfortable, too. She had them in white and skin tone, as well. Great product!

Better than compression socks. Depends on the dog and how aggressive it is with its claws. Protects against just paws rubbing against legs.
