Couldn’t wait to get this as I finally wore out the identical one that I had ordered about 18 months ago. So considering that someone is using the laptop almost 8 hours a day you could consider that a testimonial that this holds up well and worth buying again! This is a silica gel membrane designed to fit perfectly over your laptops keyboard. I made the mistake of buying a laptop with the night light keys without thinking about the problem of there being light gray characters on a silver keys. Really hard to see during the day especially when you looking for a character you don’t normally use often enough to type it from muscle memory. This keyboard cover is dust-proof and grease resistant. If it sets dirty just lift if off, wash it gently and allow it to dry. Fits perfectly over the specified laptops built-in keyboard. As for my night light feature, still get some lighting assistance from light that illuminates from around the individual keys which allow me to make out most characters. On those really tiny characters you don’t use often I just tilt the screen forward just a little bit and I’m fine. For those of us that are getting older, having keys with contrasting characters is something great to have. These are relatively inexpensive but definitely a great value.

I recently bought a new laptop and as I am going to be using this a lot, outside, on trips and while eating I wanted a keyboard cover that would protect it from all the dust and food that can wedge itself in between the keys even with careful use. I decided to get the black and when it came I was unsure as to have useful it would be. In the package it feels and look very thin and flimsy but in use it is amazing. I took about a minute to line up and there were bubbles or misalignment at the beginning but with use it has settled down and fits my keyboard like a glove! I love that it protects my computer, is style, easy to clean and makes my typing a tad quieter. I am very please with this product and for the price I can have a few in different colors if I decide to switch it up from time to time. I also came back and bought another one for a family member. I recommend this product.

I'm pretty much a touch-typist; I wasn't a great student, but I had a very capable, very patient teacher many years ago that hung in there with me while I learned on a Royal manual typewriter. One would think that visibility of keys on a laptop really wouldn't be an issue. However, that's not the case - the old manual typewriters had a QWERTY layout, but no "F" keys or numeric key pad. So when I have to hit "F3" or some such, the touch-typing stops and the "Where's that key?" begins. This particular HP laptop has a grey surface - and the keys are labeled in a slightly different shade of grey. There's no back-lighting on the model I have. Grey-on-grey was a poor decision by HP on an otherwise decent laptop. Rather than go with the individual "stick on" key stickers that are prominent on Amazon, I decided to give this keyboard cover a try. I wiped the laptop down with an alcohol pad (not included with the cover), allowed it to dry for a few minutes, then simply placed the cover over the keys, working from left to right and smoothing down the cover ever-so-slightly as I went along. Installation (once the keyboard was clean and dry) took less than a minute. You can see the difference in the "Before" and "After" photos. The keyboard does give a bit of added 'cushion' to the feel of the keyboard when typing, but nothing objectionable (to me; YMMV). There's no issue with the cover touching the laptop screen when the lid is closed, as far as I can determine. I like this cover very much; you'll want to read the caveats in the item description to see what laptops it won't fit and which ones it will. This is one of the happier purchases I've made recently, and you may want to consider getting one if your laptop looks anything like the "Before" photo.

I am terrible klutz and am sick of ruining my electronics because of it. I never even knew these covers were made until I stumbled upon a listing for them while looking for a screen protector. I have a 15.6" HP Envy x360 touch screen laptop and I really would like it to last more than a year. I chose the purple cover purely because I love purple. It fits exactly on the keys and is super easy to lay down and remove. No adhesive or residue at all. It clings to the keyboard. I can't see my own keys though the cover so I don't know if the keys are in the same place or not and don't care really. At first, I didn't like the cover much because I felt like I had to pound on the keys rather than simply type the way I always do. But after a week of use, I barely realize that the cover is on the keyboard. I am so relieved that I won't be killing another laptop by spilling my iced tea or water on or gunking up the keyboard. The cover stays put when I use the laptop on tablet mode and actually protects the keys from damage in that mode. I removed a star only because typing is a little different with the cover on but it is something that only takes a little bit of getting used to. For under $8.00, this was an investment in my new laptop and its longevity.

I was initially looking for stickers for my keyboard, but was concerned about my ability to get them on straight enough as to not trigger my self-diagnosed OCD. I saw this and figured that the reasonable price tag made it worth the risk. Honestly, I wasn't expecting much, but I'm absolutely amazed by how great it fits! As you can see in the first photo, my keys are silver with grey letters/numbers. Even worse, some of the markings were wearing off. I'm a pretty good typist, but mostly have trouble locating the symbol keys. This works perfectly. The high contrast makes everything easy to see. The slightly rubbery feel keeps my fingertips from slipping off the keys & the fact that it molds right to the keys but is easy to remove and clean makes it perfect for using in my craft room. I highly recommend. Just make sure you read carefully to make sure you are getting the right on for your device.

I wasn't expecting too much and was pleasantly surprised by the product! I purchased the clear keyboard skin which honestly fits like a glove. I own a HP Pavilion cs-xxx series and made sure that I bought the right keyboard skin to fit my computer (make sure you triple check that this skin will fit your computer!) It almost suctions to the keys and automatically stays in place. There is no extra skin around the edges except for a simple 1mm border. I was going back and forth between the black and the clear but ultimately bought the clear because I wanted to see the backlights on the keyboard as well as the Caps Lock button light and the Mute button light. The main reason I wanted this skin was to soften the noise that my keys make as I type. (I type a lot during my meetings and specifically the space bar was making an extra loud click). Although it did take a day to get use to the texture and feel of having a think layer over the keys, I now can type with confidence and in silence. Plus, there's the added bonus that it keeps dust and any other particles from getting in between the keys. I've just purchased this skin this week and as of today I would recommend it to those looking for an easy and affordable keyboard skin that fits the HP Pavilion cs-xxx series perfectly.

I've been using this cover for 8-9 months now. The color on the buttons are gold metallic and overall looks nice. I bought it to match my HP Spectre, which has gold trim. It doesn't match exactly but it works. It's thin and allows you to punch the buttons with ease. I've been using keyboard covers for years so I'm used to how they feel. The keys still punch well and I have no issues. My issue is that the keys that I use the most started losing their color around the 5 month mark. I've added pictures. For comparison, I've added pictures from my older computer where I've been using a keyboard cover (blue) that is now 6 years old and still looks new. I am now looking for a new keyboard cover.

For the price here, this keyboard cover isn't bad at all. Thinking first about installation, it fits perfectly over my keyboard and I didn't have any issues putting it on. Some have mentioned issues with cutouts not matching up to their keys, but I don't see any issues with that here. Perfectly satisfied with the fit here. It does seem to be plenty durable, and at the very least should do a fine job keeping contaminants out of the keyboard. Now, as far as ease of use is concerned, I do have 2 notes. For one, I wish that I could see some of the lights better. I can see the backlight alright, but the lights for the caps lock and the mute keys lack a cutout so you can see the indicator light. Its a small issue, ultimately not enough to seriously discourage anyone from buying, but a note regardless. The other part is the ease of typing. As I write this review, I've been able to adjust more to it, but it does take a bit of getting used to. I've found myself striking keys much more firmly, but it is more because I'm not used to having such quiet keystrokes. I do think it will be easy enough for most people to adjust to in the long run. Lastly, as far as aesthetics are concerned, I would have liked the gaps between the keys to be more clear, but overall it does still look fairly good. I have the black keys, and its not a tacky look or anything childish looking, so I'm fairly satisfied overall.

Fit perfectly. Thin so it doesn't imped on typing. Does take a minute to get used to but meh. Would purchase again.

I was amazed at how well this fitted the keyboard. It really fits like a glove. It’s thin and flexible. The only issue I have with it is that the edges around each key are slightly raised which makes it harder to slide your fingers across the keys. Also it would be good if the f&j locating nubs were slightly more prominent as they’re hard to find. I have just started to practice touch typing and this hampers me so I can’t actually use it at the moment. Hopefully as I get better I’ll be able to type with it in place. For now it’s just looks very pretty.

The laptop keyboard had pale grey letters on silver keys with no backlighting. This cover made the letters and functions very clear and reduced eye strain. Fitted and worked perfectly.

I don't know they did it so well but this product is flawless and fits each individual key PERFECTLY - so my entire keyboard is 100% protected from dust and any kind of debris! Better still - you are still able to type like normally as if there wasn't a cover there at all (Nice!) :-) (Its really nice when products are honest and do what they say they are going to do on the 'tin'. This is one such 'honest' product that DOES DO WHAT IT SAYS ON THE TIN! Huge THANK YOU to the manufacturers of this!)
