I am a wood turner. I wanted something to help keep the chips out of my shoes when turning. There are shoe covers/spats/etc. that I can purchase specific to wood turning - and come with a specialty price tag. These are also specialty items, but at a much cheaper price point. While I am not trying to keep hot metal bits off my legs and out of my shoes, I am sure these do that just fine. I do know they work well for keeping wood chips and such out of my shoes. No more spending too much time manually picking little bits of wood from my socks after spending quality time in the workshop!

Good quality and the work great. I took off a star because the velcro is too narrow to fasten them tightly so I'm using some duck tape to get them tight. If you have bigger legs they should work good for you. I don't wear them that often so using tape isn't a big problem for me.

Very nice. Had to air them out a bit sfram a slight oder. Velcro's shut. Fit. Nicely.

Needed these for decades, they are lightweight and easy to put on, will fit FAT legs if ya gottem, mine are thin as sticks, from paraplegia. Velcro up and down the fulllength, stretchy strap to hold to feet. Awesome protection.

The first time I tried these on (and worked half a day in them hacking at blackberry canes), they worked well, so I don’t know what happened the next sixteen hours, but when I put them on the next day (and yes, the same way, with the same shoes, in the same area of the field), they would not stay put. They would slip down a lot, but mostly, the bottom flap would continually shift to the side, regardless of which leg, and in the wet, they’d get soaked before I had a chance to pull them back. After about the fifth frustrating wearing with no change, I figured the wraps being secured by hook-and-loop tape was the design flaw, and surmised if there were another strap toward the bottom, at the ankle, and not elastic (that also was NOT working), then it might have helped positioning. Otherwise, the concept was sound, and no blackberry thorns got through the leather.
