Brilliant read
She does it again - weaves a beautiful story that you cannot put down mid way. By the end, you can't wait for the next book to come out. Relatable characters and situations with amazing wit and one liners - should definitely be on your 'to-read' list.

The story was a little jumpyThe laddak part was really good!!Overall, I laughed and cried and gaped and was satisfied..This was my second Indian author read, in M&B collection.. and it was encouraging enough to read more Indian authors!!I could have returned the book, and got a refund ;)But I didn't feel like parting with it.. asThe characters become a part of your fantasy life!!

The author would’ve done better if she’d chosen to retire the colonel
While our Army is deployed on multifarious missions in peacetime, one never heard of its officers being sent to rescue an abducted girl. The author would’ve done better if she’d chosen to retire the colonel. The actual act of rescue seemed a very simple affair that quickly culminates into a romantic interlude between the principal characters, extending to the ‘other-parts-of-the-colonel’s-anatomy’-doing-a-happy-dance! (How that is possible in a confined place, defies my imagination). The narrative demonstrates a good vocabulary. However, starting every second sentence with an ‘ing’ word may not be the best idea in my humble opinion. The Chief Justice doesn’t sound real to me when he discloses the verdict before the trial of a captive terrorist, or when he treats his only daughter so shabbily. The plot is somewhat divorced from reality as the Colonel decides to confront his parents rather too late in the tale. So is the case with the girl, who shows guts to run away from her father’s home only to return without as much as a whimper. Overall, the happy ending makes up for the shortfall in some other areas. I wish the author success with her book.

Write some more...
I was disappointed. Picked up a mills and boon after what felt like a million years and Shilpa's book left me wanting. I know I picked up the book because she is a school friends sister and how cool is that... To know an actual mills and boon author. So I got the book. Read it. Enjoyed it. Loved it even. But it was over so soon. So i am dissappointed. Now I am wanting more stories from her. So please quickly scribble a few more Shilpa... You are talented and funny and your characters are interesting people and I look forward to reading them all... Don't disappoint me again... Write a longer book!
