Good brown sugar flavour, not overly sweet and works well for bubble tea
I bought this brown sugar fruit syrup for £7.99 as part of a Christmas gift for my partner, who loves bubble tea. The aim was to get something close to the brown sugar syrup used in bubble tea shops, rather than a generic sweet syrup. Flavour-wise, it does a good job. The brown sugar taste is rich and familiar, and importantly it’s not overly sweet. That makes it easy to control the balance in drinks without everything tasting sugary or artificial. Mixed with milk tea and tapioca pearls, it gives a very similar result to what you’d expect from a bubble tea shop. Consistency is good and easy to work with. It pours cleanly and mixes well without needing much effort. A little goes a long way, so the bottle should last a reasonable amount of time for home use. It’s also nice to see that it’s vegan, gluten-free, and made without artificial colours, which makes it easier to recommend. Overall, a good quality brown sugar syrup that delivers the right flavour without being overpowering. Well suited for making bubble tea at home and good value at this price.

Very tasty
This is exceptionally good especially if you have a creamer whisk, it mixes so easily into your milk or oat milk. The texture is nice and tastes wonderful, just like taro bubble tea. I recommend making this recipe: 1) Fill a cup with oat milk or milk to around 400 ml 2) Squeeze the taro syrup in for 5 seconds 3) Mix well with the creamer whisk for around 20 seconds 4) Put ice in the cup You have made a perfect drink, similar to bubble tea you can buy in shop.

Brown sugar
It is alright but it has nothing to do with bubble tea taste which was what I thought it would be. You can use it for bubble tea though but it is practically sugar so you don't expect it to be more than that. We also used it on pancakes instead of caramel syrup. So overal, the product is fine but for it being just a sugar I would probably stick with a granulated one because of the price.

Don’t buy
Tastes nothing like lychee. Gross.

Perfect
It was perfect for the boba tea I was making at home, extremely tasty and indistinguishable from the one used at the local boba place. It is a tad pricy for the volume you get but it does actually save quite a bit of money compared to buying from boba places. I recommend pouring down the sides of your glass / boba cup. I definitely recommend this syrup, it's incredibly easy to use and has a great almost marshmallow-like flavour.
