Great Book for bright eight year old
Eight year old George - very bright with a reading age of 12+ was instantly enthralled, and thought that this was a great present from Uncle William. Uncle W. (me) had bought it second-hand for a little less than £4. I think that the full price for a new copy would have been somewhat excessive, but on the other hand keeping an eight year old quiet is a valuable commodity. However, he didn't stay quiet for long, and we had to listen to interesting facts for the rest of the afternoon (but we were in a pub garden, so it wasn't too much of a burden).

Interesting facts
I got this book for my 7 year son. He is loving the facts he’s learning from the book. He sometimes find some aspects boring and so always in a hurry to move on to something else. In general he’s learning a lot from this book and will recommend it.

Great fact book.
My boy absolutely loves this book, he comes up to me with a new random fact all the time and was worth the purchase. Would recommend if your children are going through a fact finding phase or learning about a perticular subject in school. He has even surprised his teacher with a few facts and has mentioned this at parents evening.
