What happens with the dead bugs? Do you end up pouring them too?

Unless you pick the out with tweezers, anything in the container will pour out when tipped

Can small cricket get out of the ventilation holes?

The vent holes are slitted and on the top of the lid. Unless you leave it on its side / tip it over for a while, nothing can escape. I had small dubia roaches in there and they never got out

Do you remove the food holder and the waste compartment before pouring out the insects?

I only remove the food holder if you have food in it. Waste trap holds everything pretty well

Will the drawers fall out?

Be aware that when you slide the drawer out bugs may come out with it . Because you have to take the feeder draw out before you pour the bugs out
