Are these genuine 925 silver, as i cant find a 925 hall mark? It would be hall marked 925 if it was genuine!

I don't think that they are as when I put them on, my ears went a bit funny, however, I brushed them with clear nail polish and they were fine to wear. But I definitely don't think they are genuine real silver.
