Total Pet Figure of 8 Dog Lead - Flat Anti Pull Stop Dogs Pulling – Slip Leads Reflective with Padded Nose Support (180cm)

Brought this lead for My Akita Cross German Shepherd ..He is a rescue dog whom wasn’t walked at all. I did however buy a lead and Holti from The a known UK Pet Supplier .. This did help a little but what I did training wise the holti wasn’t helping and my dog was always crawling ar his face and catching his nails in the loops . So whilst scouting for another lead I came across this one and went ahead and purchased after reading fantastic reviews . The lead arrived yesterday and straight away I took my dog for a walk . Wow what a complete difference no more pulling at all and the lead is perfect for big strong dogs . I no longer have to tell my dog to Stop when he pulls as the new lead fits very well and therefore no more saying stop to my dog as he no longer pulls . Highly recommended the design is very good and the lead is slightly longer than his old lead which gives my dog plenty of forward walking to explore. I will still train my dog as this is the perfect lead to get any dog to walk by your side and makes training more manageable You have really good control with the lead and you only just give it a slight tug to pull any dog away from cats and other dogs it has stopped with my dog the launching In all it’s fictional and easy to use and very good functionality

At last a fix for a 30kg ten month old Golden Retriever that pulls like a freight train. We were previously using a harness with front and back d rings as advised in puppy classes but this just made him use his strength and pull so badly. We tried this figure of eight lead and he sulked a bit on the first walk trying to push it off his nose but we persevered. We couldn’t believe how much easier it is to walk him now. With the harness my arm/shoulder and back were so painful after a walk but now it’s like I have a different dog. The walks are now enjoyable. We are absolutely amazed and so happy. The lead feels durable and is well made. The lead is also a good length. Overall I am extremely happy with the pulling prevention and I would urge anyone who has a similar issue to try this at least for a couple of days before giving up on “yet another lead”.

I’ve been training my Labrador for a while now but since she’s coming up to a year old she’s been regressing a little bit on training. One of those regressions has been the lead training. Before, she was walking in a relatively good heal, now seems to want to go wherever and take my arm with her. Due to her not listening when out and about, I decided to try a halti. It’s not my first purchase from this company and probably won’t be my last. This specific halti feels a lot better made as the rope one began to hurt my hand and it was a bit too long. This one is perfect. She has the padded nose bit, which I find looks better and I worry less about it rubbing her (even if she hates it). It’s easy to get on and take off (as long as the dog cooperates). You have far more control over them outside when they won’t listen. It stops pulling but isn’t completely 100%, she can still pull it’s just easy to correct her now. The good thing about this lead is when she gets out of her phase I’ll be able to use it just as a slip lead. It’s fairly on the expensive side but it feels built to last and I don’t mind supporting a small business! It also has a reflectiveness going through it which is perfect as we aren’t in a very well lit area.

Bought this as my 21 week Staffie cross lurcher puppy was very inconsistent in her walking. Easily distracted by smells, other dogs and people. Wanted to greet every person and dog that we walked by and walking was a chore rather than enjoyable, as it should be. This figure 8 dog lead arrived 15 minutes before her tea time walk and as I was keen to try it out I put it on her immediately and practiced walking her in the garden. She did try to take it off with her paws and rubbed her head on the ground to get it off and acted a bit like an unbroken horse would with a saddle .😬 I admit I was a bit concerned but with encouragement and plenty of treats and praise she soon got the hang of it. I attached the extra safety lead to her harness, rather than her collar and took her for her walk. After a couple of extra try’s to get it off she then walked beautifully for the entire walk. She even came across a couple of cats, she has a high prey drive, and gave them a glance and carried on. She also met dogs and people and didn’t/ couldn’t do the usual jumping up and pulling . I was very proud of her and so glad I bought the figure 8 lead . Although at first she didn’t like the feel of it over her nose and my husband was worried that it might be cruel, it felt and looked very comfortable on her and is fully adjustable. It’s also comfortable in our hand as the handle is also padded , like the nose part.Hopefully this clever lovely girl won’t find a way around this lead and revert back to the annoying behaviour . I’m sure she won’t, I just can’t believe how well it went.

We recently bought this item as our German Shepherd was forgetting his manners at times and we wanted to remind him that it's not polite to pull us up the street if he sees another dog/person he loves/doesn't like the bin lorry. While the halti-type head collar is easy to put on it's also apparently really easy for Nova to take off again if he feels inclined. There's a lot of back-and-forth conversation, let's put it that way. Also, the little leather 'stopper' which is meant to prevent the head collar getting looser doesn't really work at all, which can be frustrating. Overall I've given three stars as it does somewhat do its job, and so far Nova's not been able to chew through it, although I'm expecting that day to arrive any time now... Not bad, but not brilliant either.

I’ve ordered this lead as a last resort before considering prong collar. I was desperate. My 8 month old 27kg labrador pulls like an absolute beast to the point that I haven’t taken him out for a few days now. Ive lost my confidence and started to resent him. I’ve tried different leads, collars, front hook harness, nothing worked, he would literally choke himself to death on martingale collar but didn’t stop pulling. I honestly didn’t have any expectations but boy was I wrong. I took few minutes of him trying to shake it off but then after a few little tugs he started walking by my side! Very minimal pulling, each time corrected by a tug. I wasn’t perfect by any means but I finally feel like I can enjoy walking him again. The lead itself is of very good quality, muzzle part is padded and so is the handle, feels very comfortable to hold. Great fit, fully adjustable and looks smart. Fail safe attachment to collar is a good addition, although a bit difficult to put on the lead and there’s no instructions to show you how either. Great for night time walking due to high visibility reflective elements as you can see in my video. So if you’re at the breaking point like I was give this lead a try. I’m so glad I did.

Avoid using this product unless you want your dog to have a pressure ulcer and days of suffering. My Labrador used this lead over a 2 day period. He walked beautifully on this lead. There was no clear instructions that were sent with the product so we had to find manufacturer’s tutorial video on youtube and we were following instructions to ensure it’s safe. On the 3rd day our dog became very lethargic and started exhibiting severe pain around his snout. We spent over £1000 in vet’s bills to date investigating the problem. He had to receive anaesthesia and multiple xrays. Apart from redness on the inner upper left side of his cheek vets couldn’t find anything wrong with him. When this lead was mentioned to the vet they said that given the results of all of the investigations, it’s likely that our boy developed a pressure ulcer from this lead. He remains to be in severe pain and is on Tramadol over a week later. This is a dangerous product and should not be sold!

Very very good quality ! Nicely padded nose band unlike some. Our VERY pulley Setter/Spaniel sat and allowed it on. We left it a bit loose over her nose and it was clearly comfortable. The middle of the figure 8 is in such a place that she can open her mouth, pant and drink with no problems. It's worth paying for the quality. Oh ..... and wish we had bought one earlier as from first 'outing' she's walking like a dream with no effort.

Super produit, se met facilement et pour ma part fonctionne hyper bien sur mon chien (setter anglais) qui est très compliqué en laisse classique en tirant tout le temps mais la quel bonheur de faire une balade sans se faire arracher le bras. Je recommande vivement mais attention en discutant autour de moi ça ne fonctionne pas forcément sur tous les chiens. A TESTER

This leash is helping a lot with my very reactive GSD. It came with an attachment you feed the leash through so you can then attach it the dogs collar. Unfortunately the leash cannot be passed through the small loop of the attachment. The picture on Amazon shows it slipped over the leash. If possible can you teach me how?

La correa es decepcionante. Mi perra es de tamaño grande y tira mucho. Esperaba corregir esto pero en cuanto se lo coloco, ella es capaz de quitárselo en 1 segundo con la pata. La pieza de cuero no queda fija por lo que es imposible ajustar la medida. No recomendado para perros grandes al menos

Der absolute Game-Changer für uns. Trotz täglichem Training hat unser pubertärer Neufundländer gezogen wie ein Irrer sobald er irgendwas gesehen hat was ihn interessiert hat. Am Anfang hatte der große Wuschel zwar eein paar Wutanfälle deswegen aber nach kurzer Zeit lief er super entspannt neben uns. Perfekt ❤️
