Boxer Fracture Hand Splint for 4th & 5th Metacarpals (Right Hand)

This splint is better than a few others of a similar design that i have tried. It feels far more robust, the Velcro stays where you put it without the need to readjust every few minutes, it also is fairly easy to get on and strapped with minimal pain on the injury site (Probably depends on the injury and person, though) This splint does a fantastic job at immobilizing the digits you want, and not impeding on the others. I am able to still somewhat effectively able to use my computer mouse (it does hurt my forearm after a while of use because the angle of your arm has to be a bit different to compensate for the angle of your fingers ) I can strap up to my middle finger from my pinky so this even kind of helps for conditions like Dupentryns contracture (Which I also have in conjunction with a fracture of the 5th metacarpal) and I have been finding benefits from this outside of aiding in the healing of my injury. If you think you have a boxers fracture, get this splint and wear it whether you get confrimation or not, and then when you get into the doctor it will have started to properly heal by the time it gets confirmed leading to a much better outcome. It does begin to irritate the webbing of your thumb area due to the strap that comes around and back over your palm to hold it against your hand, but that can be overcome by wearing an ace wrap, a superskin, blister prevention band aid thing, a band aid, or any other type of skin cover that will stop it from rubbing up against you so much. It gave me a blister at first, and now has a small sore, but that is so far the only drawback of this splint. I couldn't recommend this one enough if you suspect you have a boxers fracture, or need to stabilize your 4th and 5th digits / Metacarpal The ortho said it is exactly what he would have given me and suggests, and that getting it right away was one of the better things I could have done, as it is already showing positive signs of healing.

great support and relief for my 5th metacarpal bone break. This brace was alittle extra hard where you bend your fingers but overall still good.

I damaged my arm and wrist in a crushing accident and since then I’ve worn a few types of wrist braces at night or while working on the computer and this one is by far my favorite for wearing at night. It’s comfortable, lightweight, and really makes my wrist feel better because of the way it positions your fingers. Sometimes I wish it would also support my middle finger, but otherwise I would say this product is a must try. 9/10

I wore this brace continously for a week after straining my ring finger at the middle joint in a middle/ring/pinkie finger configuration. Then only during work for the following two weeks. The usage was under medical guidance. I work construction and it held up on the jobsite very well and provided both stability and protection for my injured finger. It was far superior to the long finger/palm brace I received at the emergency room and it impressed the doctor who was responsible for my follow up care. During the first week I did only minor adjustments to the brace and wore it with my hand in a mostly open configuration. During the following two weeks I made more adjustments to the brace and wore it in a curled finger configuration. If I wasn't injured adjustments would have been easy, but it was challenging with a right hand injury. I very pleased with how well it held up in challenging conditions and the level of protection it provided my finger.

I ended up spending more and getting one that is RH or LH specific. My pinkie and ring ringer needed to be allowed to curve down for better healing. It immobilizes and protects your 5th metacarpal but my fracture (very close to the wrist) needed something different

Some things were uncomfortable but cutting them shorter mostly fixed it. At the end of the day, after 6 full weeks wearing this, my hand is healed. It was comfortable (pain gone while wearing.) Best to NOT hit a wall where a stud is located. But, this item did the job.

First brace I have found that protects the side of my pinky finger, hand and arm. Ulnar nerve was lacerated and I will always only have limited nerve feeling in my left pinky, ring finger, side of hand. Constant pins and needles feeling so hard to sleep without feeling pain. This brace provides protection, keeping my fingers somewhat straight which helps with my claw pinky I am now getting. The removable splints are nice to allow for more flexibility when needed.

Excellent product and hold well. It's also very comfortable. Just ensure you get the right size. Better go for smaller size if unsure. It has a lot of adjustments. Only 4 stars as the upper metal part tends to get out of the housing, getting in direct contact with the skin on the amrn. It can get unconformable at time. But not a very big deal
