This RC excavator is awesome! The detail and movement are surprisingly realistic—every arm, bucket, and rotation works just like the real thing. Especially for the price, this works great! The 5 &3 year olds played with it as much as their dads, and everyone had a good time! The charge held for an entire day at the beach, and overall functioned well.

It's super cool! It might be a bit fragile & The controls might be a bit advanced for a two and a half year old. It totally sucks on any type of carpet that is flat no matter how thin. the wheels keep coming off. On a completely flat surface like a kitchen floor it rolls and turns fine without the wheels coming off. I almost scrapped it frustrated and then accidentally discovered that it Rolls great on top of a blanket!! So it really is designed for a bumpier sand like terrain. The blanket kind of creates this artificial sand like surface it's interesting tech to observe. The scooper is the funnest part if you learn how to use it fluently.

Great construction of this RC excavator. Cane with 2 batteries for the controller and 2 rechargeable batteries for the excavator. Birthday boy turned 6 and with just a few trial runs he was a whiz with his new RC earth mover.

The attached photo is from the product listing photos. The perspective makes the toy look much bigger than it actually is. After receiving it I went back and re-read the dimensions and the listing is accurate however the photos are misleading. The battery power is very low even after a full charge and it does not travel on grass and goes very very slowly on the dirt as well. This is an inside toy and is “ok quality” at best. I read other reviews that led me to believe I was making a solid toy purchase but ultimately was disappointed with my choice and wound up purchasing another one elsewhere that was little bigger and better quality

My nephews favorite gift last Christmas! Very easy to use, even for a 3 yr old.

Bought for my 3 year old who LOVES tractors. This was a hit for the whole family even my husband. It seems pretty tough, it is more on the plastic side though. We haven't been able to use it outside yet but have around the house! It's a cute toy for the price!

I have raised 5 kids. So I’m not an amateur to toys and expectations related too. My 4 yr old grandson is obsessed with large machinery. This excavator is a pain the ass to charge. Snapped at the base very easily. The wheels/treads came off with every use… Not impressed.

Let’s get this out of the way: - Only the shovel and the battery compartment at the top are metal. Everything else is plastic. - Not sure about longevity and whether it can actually dig in a sandbox - need to try it out. My concern is that the pistons are plastic. - You can’t adjust the volume, there’s just on/off. It’s very loud when it’s on. I don’t think we will use it with volume on. - The remote looks a little cheap. Now, on to positive stuff: I paid $28 for this guy. For the price, I’m quite satisfied. It’s an appropriate size for my toddler. The details are decent and the movements are smooth and consistent. I had fun with it myself! For an almost 3 year old, it’s good enough!

This excavator is awesome. Works perfectly, however I would not recommend for younger children. Need some patience and coordination to maneuver it and use the bucket. However it is very fun and definitely worth the money. I am not overly sure how the tracks will work when trying to turn on rough terrain though. We have only used it on smooth surfaces.

Perfect gift but I noticed after a few uses that the track of the excavator sometimes pops off

I bought this for my 3yo for Christmas. By January 15 it needed a repair (a piece broke off and needed to be glued). By February it’s broken beyond repair (the arm broke). This might be better for older kids that aren’t going to play with it as much. My 3yo loved it but not made for him.
