I LOOOOVE this! It worked so well on my long gray hair. I use it to correct yellowing. I notice it where I tend to spend more time with the blow dryer or heat tools. It leaves the hair so soft and shiny. I do have a few tips: If you are using it to correct yellowing give it a chance. It might take two uses. Also, concentrate on the problem areas for the first 15 minutes then spread to the rest of the hair and rinse. I once used it all over my head for the 20 minutes, recommended and although it corrected the yellowing where I had no yellowing to start with, I ended up with a very slight slight (noticible by me) tinge of violet. If yellowing is not corrected try a clarifying shampoo or make a clarifying paste with baking soda. Then on the following shampoo day do your Overtone treatment. I will continue to buy and recommend this as long as they keep making it.

Doing a long haul gray grow out after 30 years of coloring. I am eight months in and the Orange demarcation line was becoming brighter and brighter. Once a week I add this to my favorite conditioner. I do about a 1/3 proportion of overtone to conditioner ratio. Total of five minutes. First three minutes only on my colored brown hair and the remaining two minutes on my natural gray salt and pepper growth. It is blurring the line beautifully and taking the warmth out of my old color so it’s not so obvious. This method allows me to choose my own conditioner instead of using their version.

I have thick long blonde hair and am in the process of letting it go gray. Purchased this to get the remaining ends to match the roots. It did not work. I had to use the whole jar as I have so much hair. I left it on for about 30 minutes and it only slightly muted the blonde but did not turn it gray at all. In fact parts turned a little greenish. Will not buy again.

I used the product on my natural gray/dk blonde/blonde highlighted hair that is growing out. I left it on for 30 minutes and it had minimal effect with blonde still showing through. I also can't stand the smell, it reminds me of toilet bowl cleaner, and it lingers! I'm going to try again today and leave it on longer to see if it will work, and I will update.

I am transitioning to gray. My hairdresser stripped out the remaining dark brown dye in my hair. It became brassy after a while and clashed with the beautiful salt and pepper color of my gray hair. I used this product to tone down the brassiness, and it helped. I’m going to repeat the process in a week or so to see if it helps more. All in all, it was easy to use and worked as advertised.
