Powerful, Versatile, and Convenient for Hard-to-Reach Cutting
I purchased the Worx WG323 cordless pole and chain saw because I had wanted an electric pole saw for quite some time. I have also owned Worx products for many years and have generally had good experiences with the brand. What made this model especially appealing was the ability to use the chainsaw independently or attach it to the telescoping pole when additional reach is needed. I have used it to cut dense vegetation that was too thick for handheld loppers or a standard manual saw, as well as fallen trees and larger branches after a recent storm. The overall size of the saw is practical, and the telescoping pole attachment is genuinely convenient when working on branches that would otherwise be difficult to reach safely from the ground. The cutting performance has been excellent. The chain is sharp and cuts through branches with ease, which makes the power of the unit stand out. The battery-powered design is also very convenient, and the battery has lasted well on a full charge based on the type and amount of cutting I have completed. The saw arrived already assembled, which I appreciated because I did not need to install the chain myself. I only needed to verify the chain tension before use and add the required bar and chain oil. The oil reservoir is positioned in an accessible location, making it easy to fill. The product does not include bar and chain oil, but the listing clearly states that it is sold separately. The telescoping pole provides useful adjustability and expands the range of work the saw can handle. The saw also functions well without the pole, making it more versatile than a dedicated pole saw. The overall appearance is well designed and consistent with the quality I have come to expect from Worx products. The weight is manageable when the saw is used independently. However, it becomes noticeably heavier when attached to the pole, particularly when the pole is fully extended or the saw is held overhead for an extended period. This is not a major flaw, but it does require attention and proper handling. Operator fatigue could become a safety concern if the tool is used carelessly, so taking breaks when needed and maintaining a secure grip are important. I have not experienced any major safety concerns when using it responsibly. So far, the quality and durability have been excellent. I have used the saw several times and have not experienced the chain loosening or any other performance issues. The unit arrived well packaged, matched the listing, and offers very good value for the price. Overall, this is a powerful and versatile saw for trimming dense vegetation, cutting storm-damaged branches, and handling other residential cutting projects. I would recommend it to homeowners and property owners who need both a compact cordless chainsaw and the added reach of a telescoping pole saw.

WORK really works.
THIS is an excellent tool. I use it to prune trees & fallen branches on my wooded property. I've tried using a few brands of battery operated mini chain saws which I found to be painfully frustrating. The chains always kept falling off the holding bar. I spent more time reattaching the chain than cuting the wood. The minis were conceptually pleasing but functional failures. The WORK saw and extension pole let you easily expand your cutting experience. Do it yourself and save what you would have paid somene to do it for you. It pays for itself.

The right tool for the job? It is for me.
I have had my eye on this product to assist me in trimming dead wood out of some trees on my property. At 66 years of age I don't see myself handling my gas chainsaw on a ladder any more. I liked the idea of being able to get the limbs down with the saw on the pole and then being able to remove the saw from the pole and cut the limbs down. I've had about an hour with it and overall, I like it and do not regret my purchase, which was a stunning deal at $125 on Prime Day. I like the fact that it has a visible oil level gauge that makes it easy to see if you have oil. It's a pretty typical electric saw if you have experience with them. Of course, it does not have the power of a gas saw, so cutting through a limb takes a bit longer - not unexpected at all. But if your experience is exclusively with gas chainsaws, you will be likely be a bit disappointed with the power, but one must remember that it is a tool for a specific task. If you need a gas chainsaw, you still need to use a gas chainsaw - just manage your expectations. The tool is well thought out and connects to the pole easily and becomes solidly extended for reach. The jury is out on battery life as so far I have been to impatient to fully charge the battery, but at 75% it did not last real long - about 20 minutes - but I was cutting some limbs that were 4" plus and you're chewing on the limb for for a bit - maybe a minute or two. It can be a bit tricky as the the chainsaw obstructs a clean view of the cut so I have to attack a couple larger limbs a second time not having a good visual of the cut, but the saw accomplished what I needed and the limbs came down. For me, the tool fits the job I had in mind for it without any issue. Again, make sure you're purchasing this for the right task. Overall, I am pleased. It's hard not to wish it had more power, but for what I am using it for, I find it very appropriate. I'll use this a few times a season to get dead would out of my trees and cut up smaller limbs and I fully expect it to be just fine for these tasks.

Fantastic saw!!!
The fact that you can use it as a pole was or a chain saw is terrific! It has a lot of power and has been able to cut through wood like butter. I did some light polesaw work clearing branches that were rubbing my roof, but I have used the saw without the pole more. I cut down 3 trees and processed them to take to the curb and have a huge red oak that has dropped some huge limbs that is also processed easily, in 90+ degree heat, with absolutely no effort. I have had electric chainsaw eat themselves trying to cut in hot weather, but not his one - it worked like a champ!

Worx!
Bought this primarily for my cabin property where branches have a way of becoming problems before you get around to dealing with them. The pole attachment goes on fast with no tools, and the 12-foot reach handles most of what I need without dragging out a ladder. At 10 pounds it's genuinely manageable extended overhead for longer than you'd expect. That weight spec isn't marketing fluff. You can feel the difference versus heavier saws when you're working at an awkward angle for 20 minutes. Cuts are clean and the auto-tension takes one more thing off your plate. I've used chainsaws where managing chain tension is a constant annoyance and this just handles it. Auto-oiling works as advertised, just watch the oil window and refill before a session. Oil is sold separately, worth noting before your first use. Battery life is solid for typical yard work sessions. I'm already in the Worx 20V ecosystem so the shared battery platform was part of the appeal. Same pack I'm running in other tools. For light to medium branch work without the hassle of gas or dragging an extension cord through the yard, it punches well above its price point. If you need to drop serious timber look elsewhere, but for what it's designed for it delivers.

A lifesaver...
After several windy days, I noticed a large tree in my backyard splitting and one side bearing down on the electrical line going to my house. It was just a matter of time before the powerline could break free; I'd lose power. I have many power and yard tools from Worx that I use, and that's why I looked at this one. The small, yet powerful chainsaw helped me get the job done. I ended up using this saw more to cut up big limbs into firewood. Without the pole. The saw itself can be used as just a chainsaw. Very useful. A great cost for something that can do many jobs itself. It does need to be oiled, but no gas or long cords needed. It uses the same battery that is used on all (most) other Worx tools. It did make that job that day easier to get done. I've already taken it out and used it on other projects since then.

Some issues, but not terrible
Works okay as regular chainsaw. Okay at best. There is lag upon pull of trigger, a decent amount of kickback while doing the undercut (although this doesn't happen while using the pole, I have yet to understand why), and the auto tension thing doesn't make it any easier. In fact, now I can't use the bar and chain from my old 10", which is really just stupid. Go back to how it was. Nobody likes it, especially when fixing the chain after coming off, which didn't take too long. Overall, as a regular chainsaw, it cuts predictably so long as it's not using the back side of the chain. I wouldn't cut down anything wider than 8" with it, as it doesn't have a whole lot of torque. Just take it easy and let the weight do the work. While using pole saw: It extends ok, feels like it wants to spring back when fully extended tho, which is annoying. I have to lock it as I hold it open. The lock mechanism to keep the saw on the pole is perfect though. Feels super secure. Another annoying part is switching to the polesaw as you have to keep both ends of the pole from touching dirt, which in this field (no pun intended) is all around you. Maybe a little tripod on one end would work? Idk, maybe it's at its best for that case. It's light even in pole saw mode. I am 130lbs at 5'10" and have plenty of strength to hold it up even fully extended while on a ladder, which I do not recommend for this reason... The bar is straight up and down from the pole. This makes cutting branches that are above you impossible because of the way the branch is supposed to fall. If it were angled I could make my bottom cut then top cut and have it fall straight down. However what happens is it falls where it wants to. I would recommend never using a ladder with this. Which bring me to my next point... At the proper angle. It doesn't have that much of a reach. It's not any more difficult to use a ladder and a normal chainsaw. I don't see myself using the pole much at all for this reason. The charger and battery are decent. The charger is nice and compact with programmed lights for anything it needs to tell you. The battery did not last as long the first time, even though I charged it all the way. It lasted as long as advertised since then. The battery level light is nice too. Overall, I don't hate it, but I don't love it. It will keep it til it breaks. Not being able to change my bar, however, really irritates me tho, and I'd never buy any saw like this again with the stupid auto tension thing. Not being able to change my bar also makes it to where I can't get it out with another bar if it gets stuck. Really on the edge for 2 stars, but for the price, it's not terrible.

I asked a lot of it and got more than I expected!
Its' a bit top heavy but that's a pole saw. (Also works without the pole!), and has a charge indicator. But blah blah blah, when this thing FINALLY at long last arrived, I was blowwwwn away with how well it worked. I asked way more of it than I had in mind when I ordered it. Thing just sucked itself right on through a branch every bit as thick as its' bar is long. (just in time for a downed branch that got hung up after a T-storm). I finally (and with the help of a ladder still, and this IS a long pole) got the job done. VERY good saw! And it still had over half power left when I got done fighting that monster of a branch. I only ever intended it for light work, but if you want something that does double duty - this is your ticket - just buy an extra battery if you intend to run it for a few hours. SURPRISING battery life for that tiny little pack with what it can chew through.

Works excellent
This thing works great! We are impressed at how well this unit cuts through high branches. Some quite large. Love how the chainsaw can be removed from the pole and used as a mini chainsaw on its own. Perfect! Would recommend.

Excelente
Excelente, práctica, funcional, te ahorra mucho trabajo y tiempo en podar los árboles, la batería dura un poco pero creo que con un par extra tienes para trabajar por horas.

Not A Toy
I used to heat my old farmhouse with wood and am quite familiar with gas chain saws. But I got tired of fighting with my 40 year old saw, trying to get it started. When I opened the box on this WORX saw It looked like a toy in comparison. Lots of plastic, with a guard instead of a chain brake. But you know, it does the job I bought it for, albeit a bit more slowly than a gas saw. And the battery only lasts for half an hour, but now that I'm well into my seventies, that's a good match. So for small jobs this is quite capable. It couldn't handle bucking a cord of wood, let alone the ten I used to cut. It's a bit of a challenge for me to use as a pole saw. Although the saw itself is light, it's a lot heavier that the simple mechanical pole saw I've used before. I wish it had a harness for support somewhere down the shaft. Again though, it does the job. I'm pleased to have removed some troublesome branches and cleaned up some brush at my cottage. It's perfectly suited for that.
