Well-made, but not spill-proof.
The media could not be loaded. This review is for the 45 Degrees Latitude S.S. Tumbler, 20 ounce size.Dimensions: 2-3/4" diameter at base. 3-7/16" diameter at top rim. 6-9/16" height of cup (not including lid), 6-13/16" height (including lid). The plastic lid seats quite well. It has a rubber double-gasket that seals the edge tight. The cup itself is not completely spill-proof. If inverted, the sliding portion of the cup's lid allows liquid to seep through. I would characterize this cup as "spill-resistant", not spill-proof.The double-wall steel construction works well to insulate both hot and cold fluids. The tight lid also helps to preserve the heat or cold, respectively. The lid slider opens wide enough to accommodate a 3/8" diameter straw.I like the fact that it doesn't have a handle. It easily fits into my Tacoma pickup truck's cup holder, which isn't true for a lot of insulated cups or mugs on the market. And a handle isn't necessary for this size cup. My hand comfortably fits around its girth. The coating on the sides is fairly easy to grip, not as slippery as plain stainless steel. The cup is 20 ounces, which is the perfect size for me. It's room enough for a substantial cup of coffee for my morning commute or for a large ice-cold drink while sitting in my patio.Interestingly, the steel rim of the cup is "half-rounded" - the outside edge is almost flat, the inside edge is chamfered/rounded. This design gives the rim the feeling of being much more rounded. That's because your top lip only touches the inside (more rounded) portion of the cup. Your bottom lip really doesn't notice the lack of roundness, because the bottom lip never touches the top of the rim. I like cups with full, round rims. This cup's rim, while actually quite thin, gives a nice well-rounded sensation. I was worried about this when I purchased it. But my fears turned out to be for nothing, this cup really feels good. (Note: the top of the plastic lid has a slightly rounded square edge, not nearly as tactilely pleasing as the steel rim.)So, the good is that the cup looks, feels and works very well. The bad is that it is not constructed seamlessly - it appears to be constructed in two pieces, then somehow connected (bonded or welded) together for the finished product. It isn't dishwasher safe, according to the manufacturer. And the product has no track record for durability, longevity.Bottom line: I'm buying another before others find out about it and the price goes up!

The Right Tumbler!
Exactly as described! This is a very good quality tumbler. I tested it some, and after 3 hours the liquid was still warm. I also put in ice to about half of the tumbler and at 5 hours there was still a lot of ice left with minimal melting. It fits with no problem in my cars cup holder. I bought this just for my latte to stay nice and hot and it works for me.
