Solid light for chores / detail work
Short term review. Good functionality and easy to operate. Low mode is good for detail work. Headlamp is comfortable and light weight. Many bonus points for "Made in the USA."Of note, no red mode which might be a concern for military users.

One of the better values/brightness options available
I have purchased several headlamps over the years. I am always disappointed in brightness for these things when going lightweight, but stumbled upon this one that balances all well. Fairly inexpensive, very bright, decent weight. If I could suggest one improvement it would be that the last brightness setting would be retained when turning back on - always starts at brightest setting, but that is admittedly a minor gripe. Very happy with this one

Lost an EOS, sought a replacement
I mainly use my Princeton Tec EOS as a headlamp for the tent. I lost mine recently so I looked for replacement. I saw they still made it but it was slightly different. It was plastic rather than metal but it actually works better than the old one.

hands free light - good for tight places and the need for both hands

Put Through the Wringer - Bulletproof.
I have been using the EOS series for over 12 years. Backpacking, climbing, glacier mountaineering, fishing, hunting ,alligator trapping, and caving to the bottom of Ellison's. Fresh and saltwater environments. Think I started using the 30 lumen model back then. The new models use the newer tech LEDs that are brighter and more efficient with the same bulletproof construction and electronics that have never let me down. Sill have all of them and a couple of their Apex lights. Every light still works..

Not the real thing
Cheap brittle plastic broke at the hinge after changing the batteries TWICE. I have owned REAL Princeton headlamps before and thus IS FAKE

Another stellar product from a great company
I appreciate products for their quality and reliability. Prior to purchasing this headlamp, I had another from Princeton Tec for the last seven years or so. It was probably the best single piece of electronics I have ever owned. I backpacked with it, and used it in all weather year round on our rural property month after month, year after year... it was a remarkable device. The lid for the battery compartment broke off so I purchased this lamp as a replacement and so far it is the same great quality I expect from Princeton Tec.

My favorite headlight.
My first EOS headlight gave me a 10 years and probably thousands of hours of service before it started having problems. (Power button membrane failure) Good light output, decent AAA battery life if you use lowest setting, pretty slim and light weight. Newer models have extra (unnecessary) modes and take a little longer to turn off, but still good.
