The first thing I noticed was how well it was packed. The cardboard shipping box was obviously upgraded to a thicker better quality box. Inside the box the printer was packed. In the best bubble wrap I've ever seen. Definitely the printer will arrive in good shape unless it was dropped kicked. I have the USB version and set up was very quick and easy. The included printer cable was too short so I bought a 10 foot cable. I use it on an iMac 27 inch computer. The user guide referred to the website to download the driver and that was easy Peezy as well. There were no glitches or anything downloading, and installing the driver. Everything went smoothly. The prince quality is very good, and the instructions are excellent. While this printer is substantially more expensive, like more than twice as expensive as most of the other similar looking ones, I feel it was money well spent because I won't and didn't have any aggravation I'm using this for printing 3 x 2 labels for parts bins and mostly for UPS and USPS mailing labels. I use the 4 x 6" rolls for the mailing or shipping labels. I haven't had this for very long as it recently arrived, but if overtime, I have any issues I'll update this review. For now, it seems that this is an excellent quality product with a good user manual, and good website for assistance and videos.

I don't know where to begin, because I am overwhelmed by the customer service I received from Mark. I am not tech savvy at all and have particularly struggled with all kinds of printers my entire life. I am quite convinced that printers hate me. The reason why I chose this printer was that the pain of printing labels on A4 on a regular printer and taping them to boxes was greater than figuring out how this little one works. All the positive reviews about Arkscan customer service gave me the confidence and the push to give it a go. Also, I really like the idea of the label roll being hidden inside. The rest of the deceptively tiny printers required a long tray to hold fanfold labels. I wasn't into that at all. The printer came very well packaged - a great first sign. My MAC doesn't have a USB port and the printer came with a USB to USB-c adapter, thus I was excited to put it to test right out of the box. Arkscan made it so easy to go through the installation and label calibration process, which took about 15 mins. Their videos are super clear with zero ambiguity. If I could do it, anyone could. I have a few additional questions and got in touch with their support. Mark replied very promptly. He sent me links to additional videos that addressed all my questions and concerns. In addition, my power adapter came with a rattling sound and would not power on after the first try printing the labels. After confirming my amazon purchase, Mark shipped me the power adapter replacement, which arrived in just 2 days. The printer is quick and smart, doesn't take much space and I have tries 3 different kinds of labels with great success. I am so so happy and relieved I do not have to buy ink for it. The shipping process is now streamlined and it has helped me to be very productive now that the dreadful shipping label element is off the table. I even was able to figure out how to print 4x6 shipping labels that are non standard format. My favorite purchase in a very long time. Thank you Mark!! Grateful for all reviewers before me. Works like a charm. Easy to use. A couple of times I had issues installing on really out of date mac computers. So much so that the chat support could not remote in to help. They stayed with me and came up with another download option for the driver that was giving me trouble. Boom, worked immediately. Awesome support on arkscan.com. Don't be afraid to try one. They will help you if necessary. No annoying clueless AI bot. If this was overseas support, I could not tell by the language.

I RARELY leave reviews but i had to review this printer! i had a printer already but it was one of the cheaper ones and i could not get it to print from my computer for anything so basically a major connectivity issue and inconvenience so as i was looking for a new printer option to handle my shipping labels i came across this one the arkscan and i noticed in the videos there was a step by step tutorial on how to properly install it on my specific computer!! so i was like ok cool so theres proof it will connect to a chromebook lol. that video is the absolute reason i spent the extra money on this printer and it also looked like a good printer. so i got it, used the video to set it up and im printing directly from computer. so excited it was quick and easy becuase im not tech savy when it comes to installs and setups like that! so happy i made this purcahse, and it looks like it will last for a good while!

Not sure how some of the negative reviewers are having trouble. Did not need tech support so can't speak on that. Set up in about 10 minutes. Get your power plug -> Power source Turn device on -> switch from OFF...to ON Take grey cable, plug into back of printer -> plug to USB port on computer / laptop etc. Go to Arkscan website (weblink included with printer pamphlet) Download the driver that you need depending on what courier platform you are using. Go to add printers / devices on your computer Add the label printer (you can change the name if you wish) go to printer properties, set default to 4x6 etc as needed. Apply -> save. Test print a page and viola, it prints. Using UPS free labels, it prints free and clean / clear. no issues. I'm just shooting in the dark here, but perhaps some of the issues with the "print" quality MIGHT be from the labels being used? Not sure but so far so good on my end, used it this whole past 2 weeks haven't had a snag yet. Note that the roll you get from UPS, is larger then the cavity inside the printer is able to accommodate. so a separate roll holder or flap fold style is needed. (I literally just rip off a handful and fold them and run them thru the back while storing the rest of the roll. Overall I like this decision better then going with Zebra (who most consider top tier) and Dymo XL (which needs the rolls with the hole punched out every label to know when to stop printing). Happy with purchase. Hope you have as good of luck as I do thus far, if it lasts couple years i'll be happy, i don't print to frequently but have so this past couple weeks with not a hiccup. *UPDATE Dec 2019 So since summer until now with holiday season in full swing. I’ve sold a ton of stuff for xmas money and also sent a lot of packages for xmas. NOT a problem yet. Note if you sell via any platform courier that uses 8x11 sheets with a ton of bloat info (not part of the label IE eBay) Just save the label as PDF > open PDF > capture / snap shot (highlight picture area) only the label portion and click print. Had Blinking Red light before, wouldn’t print, that was most likely due to shutdown laptop/printer mid cycle, rebooted with label aligned and we back in business.

This label printer has been a great addition to my workspace. Setup was straightforward on Windows, and once installed, it works smoothly with no constant adjustments. The print quality is sharp and clear, even for barcodes and small text. I use it regularly for shipping, and it has saved me a lot of time compared to printing and taping labels. The size is compact, doesn’t take much desk space, and feels sturdy. If you ship orders often or run a small business from home, this printer is a reliable and efficient choice.

Just like every other label printer - doesn't work they way it claims, finnicky, and hard to configure. I bought this because it claims to be easy to use, plug and play they say. I just talked to a tech from Arkscan online, he told me to "Download a google chrome extension" that allows you to print 4x6 labels (Something it's SUPPOSED to do out of the box....) and yet that didn't work... Then he said "Oh buy adobe pro so you can convert it from this format to the 4x6 format that our printer needs!" I said no, I'm not buying more software to use theirs. Then he sends me this guide to download it to a PDF, download some other software, convert it to said software, then use the free adobe PDF reader to somehow convert it back to some other format, and then import it using YET More software (none of this software is owned by Arkscan btw) and then it might work. How about I throw it in the bin, and never buy your stuff again instead? Waste of time, resources, and money. Again, NOT impressed. If I ultimately find out my printer is a dud, I'll update the review, but from here on out I'll just stick to printing it out on regular paper and taping it to the package. I spent more hours trying to get this printer to work, than if I had honestly just sat down with SCISSORS and precut 10,000 lables in advance, this printer is a joke. Also all their "Tutorial" videos on youtube, are outdated, they tell you to click x and y and z, and you go to do it, and THERE IS NO button to even click, it's literally not even there.

Before buying this printer, I tried other printers including "Brother", none of them works for Chitchats which is tricky to work with most inexpensive printers. I guess Chitchats has the same print setting as Stamps.com in US. Chitchats consider Zebra's format (ZPL) as default, this printer is the only inexpensive Zebra alternative I can find on the market. I also tried to print directly from Etsy, no problem at all. Plus, packaging is very neat and manual is very detailed and well explained with videos. Setting is very easy, and regular thermal paper roll works for this printer. (a lot of brand name printers don't accept regular paper roll). Overall a very satisfied purchase experience.
