How to clean the waffle plates?

The waffle plates can be washed in warm soapy water or in a dishwasher, but most of time, recommend hand wash with soap to protect the non-stick for long term use.

Does the plates fall out?

No, Gvode waffle plates will not fall out because they are locked in place via locking tabs that lock them in place. A release button on top and bottom side of the unit will release the plates when depressed.
