Works well. Had an issue with the pump but they replaced it and itโs working great again.
I only started using this 3 days ago but so far Iโm very happy. For the price, I think I it is a good value. Itโs much smaller in size than I was anticipating but I think itโs good for herbs and salad greens. I donโt think youโd be able to do bigger veggies in here but those are hard to do in hydroponics anyway. The light does cycle on and off without any programming. The pump just aerates the water in the bowl. It doesnโt Water the top of the sponge like the more expensive ones do. But, the sponge is wet enough from soaking in the bowl so itโs working fine. I did soak the sponge well before I inserted the seeds. I would recommend. Iโll try to post an update later as I start to harvest but Iโm seeing all kinds of sprouts and itโs only been 3 days. Follow up after about a week: I deleted two stars because itโs now making a loud buzzing noise. 6-6-25 the seller sent me a new pump and it is working well again. Iโm also happy to report that my plants are all growing nicely.

Worth every penny!
I am in love with this thing! I have a brown thumb and have never been able to grow anything to save my life! Thanks to this I now have ample tomatoes l, basil, dill, broccoli, cucumbers, bell peppers and more! I bought this on a whim when I lost my job figuring I should grow my own food before I starve. Everything sprouts quickly and the automatic timer for the light ensures the seeds get all the light they need. The pump works wonders for regulating the water and making sure all of the seeds get the nutrients they need. I love this thing and will continue to use it for a long time to come! Its lightweight even when full, and a nice size so I can keep it just about anywhere. Best part is that its quiet too!

ABSOLUTELY LOVE MY HYDROPONIC
As the title states, I absolutely LOVE my indoor hydroponic system. The instructions on how to get started were provided and once I got my seeds in, it was fairly smooth sailing with the system! Very hands off in the beginning until the plants started growing much bigger, that was then when I needed to start refilling the tank/nutrition every few days and tripping my plants. I have grown lettuces, green onion, cilantro, radishes, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, spinach, basil, and peppers all in a matter of 2 months (granted I have 2 12-pot systems to utilize). When I purchased my first garden cube after 2 to 3 weeks the automatic light unfortunately stopped working however customer service was extremely helpful and I appreciate everything they have done to help take care of my issue! Since purchasing my garden cube I have been recommending it to ALL my friends and families. Some have already purchased one of their own and for Christmas I bought the 8 pod system for a white elephant gift. & tbh I bought it because I was hoping to win it back in the white elephant game ๐ but unfortunately someone else stole it and the person who received it has told me how exciting it has been seeing the process of growing a plant from seed to harvest (: I also canโt recommend this brand enough because the price canโt be beat! Compared to the aerogarden and most of the other hydroponic kits sold on Amazon - the quality is outstanding. The pump is quiet, there are 3 different settings for your lights, the lights for the most part are automatic (as long as you donโt fidget with the lamp too much - it even has a caution sign about how delicate it is and can mess up the light), itโs compact but provides enough space for your veggies and herbs (I recommend the 12 pot!), the kit provides EVERYTHING (pods, sponges, sticks to hold up your plants or you can even make a trellis out of it, stickers for your pods to prevent algae, tweezers, nutrition + extra packets, little stands so that you can label your pods, extra caps for the unused holes, etc) and the pods itself secure very well into the hole so that it doesnโt wiggle around. Gotta say, Iโm very impressed and it was well worth the money. I hope to save my $ so I can purchase a 3rd set ๐

Great starter kit but BEWARE of premature pump failure
3 stars for pump failure. I love it otherwise. It is the perfect compact size, easy to clean, and simple to use. It would be amazing if not for the pump failure after 6 months and hard to find good replacement parts. This was a test set up for me to see if I wanted to start hydroponic gardening, so when I upgrade will probably choose a different brand with more replacement/upgradeable parts. UPDATE: August 19, 2025, The seller reached out to me and refunded my expense for the failed pump. I increased the rating to 4 stars for excellent customer service.

Love It
This is my first try at hydrophonics. The kit comes with everything you need. Manuel is clear and there is a website for suggestions. I used my regular garden seeds, nothing special and everything grew on the first try. Water capacity is perfect a min. of two weeks for most plants. This way I don't have to ask anyone to water while I'm on vacation (4L). I like that there are only two settings for lighting, I prefer to leave the guesswork out of the lighting. My home is typically cold but this system allows everything to grow as if they were out in the sun. This system is also great for starting transplants for outdoors. There are a few cautions applicable to all table top hydrophonic systems. 1) you don't have to use all the holes all the time. 2) Be mindful of mature plant height. 3) tomatoes, amaranth, and basil LOVE water and can take over crowding out other plants even those varieties that say they are miniature. Great starter kit. I have 2 now and if there were more space iny home I'd have more. My first kit was about $40 so that was a great deal. I've had a hard time getting that same price since.

Had to replace twice - LED lights give out - No customer service to speak of
**UPDATED - 11/15/25** I had to replace this system twice now. When it's working, my review below stands. However, after 1.5 years, the LED lights stopped working and just flickered - no response from the touch control panel. No helpful reply from customer service. It was only $40, so I just got a new one. 13 months later, exact same thing happened. I love having a small hydro garden in my house, so I'm getting another, but definitely a different brand. This time I'm going to read reviews that specifically cite strong customer service. I recommend you do the same and select a different brand (I'm guessing many of these "different" brands are made in the same factory in China, so I will be wary of those as well.) It's a pretty simple device, with a very low learning curve. It runs as good as it did when I began using it in January, and it's now September, and I've had it running nonstop that entire time. Three recommendations: 1) Clean it pretty regularly. I've cleaned it about once every two months, by unplugging it, then washing the inside out with white vinegar and a sponge, then rinsing it out well. This keeps mildew from growing too much, which in such a small body of water can affect the hardiness of the plants. 2) I haven't tried growing any vegetables in it, simply because many would grow too large. I suspect lettuces would do excellent in this, but I have yet to try that. I have used this strictly for fresh herbs, and it is absolutely perfect for this purpose. I stagger planting/harvesting 4 pods of basil, 2 at a time by planting 2 new ones once the other two get to be about 2-3 inches tall (they explode in growth after that). The other 4 pods I rotate out fresh thyme, dill, or parsley. 3) You don't need to buy complete refill kits as your planting pods run low. The plastic planting cones and covers are easily washable and reusable, so all you really need are just the starter pods themselves. Over time you'll need new fertilizer mix, though, which can also be purchased on its own. The fertilizer that came with this set lasted me about 7 months. Overall, I definitely recommend this product. It would make an excellent gift for someone who loves to cook and have fresh herbs on hand year-round.

Great customer service and easy to use
I've been using this since last summer, and it works great. It is incredibly easy to use. You literally fill it up with water, mix the provided fertilizer with water in the provided bottles (very hard to mess it up, since it's so clearly marked), pour the measured amount into the water, and chuck a few seeds (provided) into the spongy pods (aslo provided). And up comes your plants. I grew some of the delicious herbs it came with (two iterations), and after that, grew some notoriously difficult-to-grow lavender plants. Those are now standing at about 7-9" high, and will be going into individual pots to be moved to the garden in a month or two. However, as easy as all that was, I have to commend them on their customer service. I had some questions on fertilizer, and they responded very quickly, with friendly and helpful answers. Same with some follow-up questions. I wanted to buy some fertilizer without the plastic bottles (becasue I already have those, and there's no sense in getting more when the ones I have are still fine), but they don't offer the fertilizer as a separate product. They said that they would probably start offering that, for people who do not need the additional bottles, and who care about adding plastic to the ecosystem. They also recommended not buying fertilizer in bulk, as it is water-soluible and can easily spoil -- which I didn't know. I wholeheartedly recommend buying this product from this vendor, becasue of the ease of use, and even more so because of the great customer service, which is so hard to find these days. Edit: Since I raved about their customer service, I thought I'd add a few lines from their emails. Seriously, I don't even care if this was AI-generated, or randomly added by some nice-line editor (neither seems likely), but I appreciate the fact that someone at GardenCube cared enough to make it happen. - This was the first one, after I requested some support: "We hope you find this helpful and thank you for your support and interest in GardenCube." - Then when I asked a follow-up question, where I suggested they sell the fertilizer mix without the included plastic bottles: "Thank you again for being considerate of the environment, the world will be a better place because of you." - Later, after another follow-up question: "Wishing you all the love and happiness that you so richly deserve." - And most recently, after a question before I bought a larger one (12-pod; my first one was an 8-pod) of their planters: "I hope this experience will leave you with great memories :)" Seriously? :-) Someone needs to give their customer service people a bonus. I don't know where they are, but I feel like going there and buying them all lunch. Oh, and a follow-up on the lavender I mentioned above, is that they are now all too big for the planter, and will be moved to pots over the weekend. In a month or two they'll be outside, keeping the mosquitos away.

Amazing
Brought this kit on March the 23rd I love this majority of my seeds were sprouting the next morning. I was pleasantly impressed that the swiss chard was beginning to sprout after 3 days. The size of the kit is small so it can fit anywhere in all honesty. However the light is really bright I couldn't imagine getting the 100. Lol I'm growing arugula, kale, spinach, lettuce, swiss chard, and spearmint. As of now everything is growing well but spinach didn't sprout and I only added the spearmint in 2 days ago. Update: April 15 I recommend only placing 1 seed in each pod because its hard to separate once roots develop throughout the sponge. I'm changing my 4 stars to 3 stars because after cleaning the kit the water pump is really loud and sometimes the light shuts off randomly after a few hours being on.

PUMP FAILED
The pump failed pretty quick only managed to use it to grow fully once and then the pump was gone it would be nice to get a replacement as the rest is still good. Noticed algae growing in it which is strange as it is indoors and has no way of getting into the water.
