Is the rubber material hard or is it grippy? I'm looking to prevent hard shell luggage from sliding everytime I turn the vehicle.

It is actually a light weight, durable foam material inner lining with a slim yet tough rubber like exterior on both sides. It is easy to cut with the provided blade. We went to Zion National Park and it seemed to hold very well to protect the upholstery carpeting material the car comes with. It did the job when the 3rd row was folded down. However, it does not stay flush against the backrest when the seats are brought back up since it slides toward the lift gate trunk space because of the way the seat is designed to fold and come back up. I have to figure out how to make it more permanent. I can take a video and download it to this platform later if you'd like. I am at work but can try to do it in the next few days. Overall, I'm happy with the quality and price of the product. Hope this info helps.
