Ozark Trail Dark Rest Tent for Outdoor Camping Review: Easy set up and tear down - Got this tent for several reasons 1st my old tent leaked really bad and the bottom held in water like a pool 2nd my husband would wake up very early because of how bright it was outside 3rd I normally set up the tent by myself and our old tent had stakes you have to slide through the tent to the other side I have set this tent up 3 times now all on my own it is so easy. First time was to just check it out do a test of all zippers and things. The second time was at an event. We arrived several hours later than planned and it was pitch black out this tent was a up in no time even in the dark. We moved it to move even ground the next morning but it was up. And the third time was clean out after we got home from the event. It is darker in this tent than most not black but enough it didn't wake my husband up It didn't rain during this trip so I don't know how waterproof it is but we did have Frost in the outside of the tent in the morning and to heat from us inside did cause some condensation drips inside the tent but not sure that can be helped. Overall I am happy with this tent. Review: Great Instant setup and truly dark. - One person can easily set up and take down in minutes. Truly dark! Which is why I bought it. The tent was super cozy in the morning. I miss the interior side pockets in my old tent but the pockets’ attachment compensates for lack of built-in tent pockets. Rained lightly on first use and fly worked well. I wish the height of the tent was a little more throughout entire tent. But I can stand straight up at the very center.(5’9”) The floor vent is nice, too. All in all, great tent. Waiting to see long-term durability. Only used tent twice.

Nice size...can't see inside....
Easy to assemble but it rained really hard so I had to get towels to dry up the inside..6 large towels😬. I did get some spray guard so I will up date this comment when I pitch it -when it rains

AMAZING tent. A must buy
First time we used this tent it rained all weekend very heavy in OR and we stayed totally dry. The second time we used this tent it was in very hot dry(but with shade) and it stayed cool inside with the side windows down for a breeze. Literally, the perfect tent. I would recommend getting different steaks though(We have Coleman ones and love them)

Ventilation, dark, sturdy
Absolutely loved it, but if your going somewhere cold I don’t recommend you take this one. The ventilation is really good so you will be cold if you didn’t bring enough blankets. Other than that I think it was perfect. 1 issue is the zipper... it’s pretty hard to open and close

Buy better stakes, don’t expect to stay warm.
The pros on this tent- easy to put up and take down, roomy and tall enough to stand up, pretty dark with all windows zipped shut. Cons- not the dimensions listed. It is not 10 feet, more like 9. You literally freeze with the vent on the bottom- it’s like an open window. Also there are huge gaps where the rain fly doesn’t meet the tent, like an open window the full length of the tent on 2 sides. This tent did hold up in 35mph winds only because we had extra ropes anchoring it down and forged steel stakes we bought separately. The stakes it came with are junk. This tent is not for cold or semi cold temperatures.

Smaller than expected
It was dark which was nice because the sun didn't wake us, not entirely water proofed but then again I didn't Scotchgard so kinda expected. Overall nice tent but not as big as expected. I'd say closer to a 4 person than a six person tent.

Good and bad
Cons- The front door zipper and flap are junk. The zipper is very hard to use from inside and outside of the tent. The rain flap over the zipper is a constant battle when zipping the door shut because it always gets zipped up in the zipper. It’s a real pain when zipping the door shut from inside. The upper screens only have two of the four that can be zipped shut so this is definitely not a cold weather tent. Would be very nice if you could close all four with flaps. Plan on getting replacement stakes as soon as you buy this tent. The stock ones are not good and bend easily. The Carry bag is very small and hard to get everything back in (more difficult than others). Doesn’t handle winds very well above 13-15 mph. Pros- has plenty of room for 4 adults with sleeping bags or 3 with pads and gear. The shelf organizer are a great addition and very useful. The skylights made into the rain fly are wonderful and allow natural light as well as scenery of the sky even with a rain fly on. Has two large windows and plenty of openings for ventilation. Price point is great and this tent would be good for most 3 season situations. UPDATE...09/27/20. I tossed this tent in the trash can at the campsite after my last trip. Had 15 mph winds overnight and it got several rips in it. I don’t recommend this tent.
