Function and quick
It performs it's intended function very well and quick.

Faster snd safer than using a charcoal chimney,
This is a great charcoal starter. I had been using a chimney which took longer , produced more smoke and worst of all was difficult to pour into the grill without being engulfed in a cloud of sparks. This has a small amount of sparks when removing it from the pile of charcoal. I love the speed in starting the fire.

A Must For Natural Charcoal Grills.
These type of coil starters are great for a Kamado Grill (Egg Smoker). The adjustable hook on the shaft allow for the perfect adjustment and keeps this from going too far below the grate and melting the handle. Price of $20 was perfect for the item. Much more expensive at the home store and this has a better design.

Lights fire quickly and easily
It works as advertised. I put a few briquettes at the bottom of the fire pit, add the electric starter, and put a few briquettes on top. It starts to smoke after a minute or two and I have a nice fire after 6.5 minutes. Make sure you follow directions and don't leave it active in the fire pit any longer than 8 minutes or it could melt. Set a timer so you don't forget.

Works great in a charcoal chimney
I’ve had this starter for 2 months with absolutely no complaints. I bought it for lighting charcoal in a chimney because of its length and shape. This starter has not disappointed. It does exactly what I expected it to do.
