Can these 52 pcs zipper repair kit be used for plastic #5 zippers?

It's perfectly fine! I also bought this zipper pull kit to replace a broken jacket zipper pull and it happens to be a size 5 plastic zip like yours. It fits perfectly. Easy to install too.

What sizes of zips can be repaired with these zipper repair kit?

Fits size #5 zippers, we compared the sizes of the zipper pulls and found that they are all used for size 5 zips, but can be used for different materials such as resin, nylon and metal. By the way, the quality really can't be faulted!

Will this repair kit work on a backpack? The remaining zipper doesn’t have a number on it. It is metal.

If the zipper model of your backpack is #5, then they will fit.

How do you tell what size the zipper pull is?

The zipper size is on the back side of the zipper pull (ie: 5L)
