Julep When Pencil Met Gel Long-Lasting Waterproof Gel Eyeliner, Clay

Lovely soft eyeliner, blends easily and stays put all day. I ordered the colour clay which is a light grey- brown. I will purchase a darker colour next time because it doesn't show up oveeyeshadow. eyeshadows but looks great alone or with pale eyeshadows.

I hope this would be a cool dark brown. It swatched that way, but upon wearing just under an hour it was like the color faded?? It was just grayish. I was wearing it alone, so no idea how that happened. It didn't want to glide on my waterline. It was a fight to get it to stay. And when it did finally, the feeling on my eyes was really heavy and sticky. Every blink feels like the stickiest lip gloss idk how else to describe it. I was considering trying a different color, but the way this feels on my eyes I can't justify it. Besides that though, no irritation, which was nice. I have sensitive eyes and it didn't bother my eyes like that at all. And, it seemed to have some staying power. It didn't smudge or transfer much at all, and it stayed where I put it.

Excellent staying power and texture, but I was disappointed in the colour because I expected it to be brown, whereas it tends more towards grey.

Normally I qear Eye of Horus eyeliner I get from Beauty and the Boutique in England. But with the high tariffs, it's not practical anymore. This is a dupe for one of the brown eyeliners I wear. It stays on, lasts all day and doesn't smudge once it sets. I find it's okay with my allergy, sensitive eyes. It has a creamy texture that can be smudged before it sets.

I should know by now not to buy colors like eyeliner pencils or face makeup online only without seeing them. This color clay was next to the black so I figured it was the next darkest color and I didn't want black so I bought two of them and they are way too late for me. I have brown eyes and black eyelashes so I need a dark brown or a dark gray to gently line my eyes being I'm a senior lady. If you want something later than dark brown but darker than brown I would recommend this color.
