Really keeps the bubbles in for many days
Works very well. It keeps the bubbles in for many days, maybe even a week or so. It’s the only champagne stopper I use for prosecco type wines and champagne. No other type works as well I really recommend this. Fair price for an excellent product.

Just follow the directions and it will work
Since we took delivery of the stopper we have used it on two bottles of bubbly. I read the online description of how to use the stopper before buying it, viewed the online video, and it also came with printed instructions that included step by step narrative and photos for sealing, pressurizing and reopening a bottle of sparkling wine. Very clear and very easy to use. I can attest that the stopper will give you the same wonderful bubbles hours and even days after you first open the bottle. Just follow the instructions to seal the bottle and to safely release the stopper later. I am surprised that some reviews downgrade the product saying it is dangerous because the pressure in the bottle can cause the stopper to fly off. Seriously? We are talking about champagne here aren't we? Have those who see this as a risk never observed what happens when a bottle of sparkling wine is uncorked the first time? Do buy this product - if you want to keep the magic of the bubbles in your wine whether it be for a few hours or even days. (I haven't tested to see if the effect last weeks) Don't buy this product - if you always finish off a bottle soon after opening (lucky you). - if you flunked High School physics (see Boyle's Law). - if you can't follow simple written, photographic and video directions. - if you have never had sparkling wine before. Let someone show you the safe way to open a bottle. So far we have used this on one bottle of German sparkling wine and one real deal French Champagne and it fit both. Will it fit every type of bottle used for bubbly and will it still be working as well after 200 bottles as it has after 2, I cannot answer. But if anyone wants to start a gofundme campaign to help me research this topic of vital interest, I am game.

Works well, can be a bit challenging to get on
First, in general, I'll say this product works great. It keeps Champagne and other sparkling wines sparkling for much longer than other products I've tried. The only issue we're had is that with the design of certain bottles it can be a bit challenging to get properly fastened. We've had it pop out in the fridge a couple of times, particularly with one brand of sparkling wine and their bottle design. Since that has happened we pay more attention when using it with that bottle and it doesn't happen any more, but it does take a little bit of work. Overall, a product that does what it says, and just requires a little work on the part of the user to make sure it is properly inserted.

Simple and effective, just follow the instructions
This worked great for me. Mind you, I wasn't trying to store opened champagne for a week or more, so I haven't put it to that kind of test. I did store a half bottle of lovely prosecco over two nights and was delighted with the strong "Pop!" upon opening, with even a bit of condensation fog, a full head of bubbles in the second half of the bottle, and no detectable change in quality. Clear instructions are included, but I guess the company is concerned about people not using this incorrectly, because they sent me an email before my order even arrived that included the full instructions, and the reassurance that despite some glitch on their Amazon page they DO offer easy returns if you are not satisfied. They also included a direct email address to contact them if I had any problem using the item, a nice proactive bit of service that I didn't need. One thing I noticed; there was no instruction on how to remove the pressurized stopper to get at your lovely leftovers. Well, after the double instructions I was nervous enough to look up a YouTube video showing how to use this, and removal couldn't be easier: Just slip the edges of the metal side clips out from under the lip of the bottle and Pop! You're good to go.

Great for Preserving Carbonation
I was a bit dubious when I purchased this stopper, but I really wanted to be able to have a glass of sparkling wine without feeling bad about destroying the entire bottle or having to scare up a few friends at odd hours. This stopper, however, made it possible drink the bottle over the course of a few days. Basically, the pump increases the pressure in the bottle to the point where the carbon dioxide stops coming out of solution. That's it. Simple. It's really simple to use; push the stopper down on the lip of the bottle, clip the two wings under the bottle lip, then pump...a lot. If you still see bubbles escaping the wine, you haven't pressurized the bottle enough, so keep pumping. There are only two downsides: 1) All the pumping. There's nothing to be done about that; it's just physics. 2) There is a little rubber circle in the pump outlet. If you're too aggressive at pumping, that little circle can be forced out of the stopper. If you notice, and can find it, it's pretty easy to put back in, but it's much easier to just be careful. Overall, this is a nice product.

Works well but needs some refinement on finish.
I was ready to use it but when I took it out of the box I noticed how very sharp the metal wings were. I put it back in the box ready to return it. The metal was so thin and sharp I was afraid I would cut my fingers while using it. I ended up using it because I didn’t have anything else. Just be careful not to cut your fingers but it works well. Read directions for taking it off properly because it could put your eye out just like a cork (keeps fresh). I would have given it 5 stars except for the rough and sharp finish. Cheers!
