Does this not come with the thermometer? It's pictured all over the adverts and even on the box but I don't have one in my box?!?!?

No. The base of the fan is not magnetic, but the thermometer is.

It's noisy should it be jumping around when hot ?

The delay in this response is due to an issue with Amazon to go through their system on a number of occasions. This fan is of solid build and works very well. There is no noise at all and it certainly does not move around or vibrate. It appears to be good value for the money.
