VerRich Silver 90x210cm Aluminium Chain Curtain Metal Door Fly Screens

I've tried netted curtains than stick together. Yes they work but get dirty after time and not easy to walk through especially carrying something. Next plastic ribbons that hang down. Trouble with these is when the wind blows these come apart and let the flies in as they are light weight. Now we have these have been using them now since April and they are excellent. The weight keeps them hanging down, they're easy to walk through and look nice up at the door.

Easy to fix, and just as easy to remove and roll up when not needed. I was sceptical before buying because past attempts at a solution with mesh screens had not been ideal. However I am so impressed at the efficacy of this simple chain curtain that I have no hesitation in giving it a five star review. It is easy to adjust the length so that it clears the doorway without getting trapped in the door, because it is a pale aluminium shade it doesn’t make the kitchen dark like the black mesh screens, it is easy to go in and out because the chain is just the right weight to push aside and best of all it really keeps the flies out!! I am staggered at how amazingly effective it is. Well worth the money, I am planning on getting another for our french door.

The screen itself, including the top rail is of very decent quality and construction. Easy to remove (or add, if you wish) sections of chain to adjust the drop length. The only pity is the fixings provided. The screen is not lightweight - a good thing! The four screw-in pegs supplied appear utterly inadequate to me. They may (I did not even trial them) technically support the weight of the screen but the shanks are too long and would result in the top rail not being flush to the doorframe or wall. I took a few days to consider alternatives and came up with the idea of using a cheap carpet strip; see photos. The strip that I bought is exactly 900mm (so no trimming required) and the profile is perfect to drop the top rail over, meaning that the rail is perfectly flush to the doorframe as well as supported along its entire length. May paint the carpet strip white when painting the rest of the porch. Back to the screen itself - highly recommended. Shame the manufacturer did not go the whole hog with the fixings; my solution would have probably only added less than a couple of pounds to the cost price.

We have had this fly screen a few weeks now and find it very effective. Great product.

This has been a god send and really keeps the bugs out, had mine up for about a year now and is still like new, easy to adjust the length of the chains and being aluminium are fairly lightweight, very easy to fit and comes with everything you need, and can be taken down and put up as needed, good value for money and good quality.

I live in a rural setting and each year we are plagued with flies in the kitchen ( I like to keep the door open for fresh air and so that the dog can access the garden.) I can honestly say since putting up the screen at the kitchen door, we have had none. The screen is weighty, unlike a plastic strip one I had before, this one won't move with the wind. Our collie walks through without any bother! We didn't need to shorten the chains at all and have it hung on the outside of the doorframe. Just be careful when shutting your door, that no chains are in the bottom of the door, as this could lead to them being crushed. I can thoroughly recommend this product and though pricey, you get what you pay for........a sturdy screen that really does stop the flies coming in the door.

This was just what I was looking for and would have fitted my door perfectly. Unfortunately the header bar was buckled so I have had to return the item. I will probably purchase another one, once the returns process has gone through as there are not many 80cm wide screens available. Arrived within 2 days of purchase and well packed. Would have 5 stars if not damaged.

This product cost a lot. And it doesn't work at all. The fly's was still, if even more after i put it up. What a desipointment. Please don't waist your money on this product.
