Google Nest Nest Cam 2 Megapixel Outdoor Full HD Network Camera - Color - 3 Pack, Motion Only

I recently moved into a new home and opted not to run my old Nightowl system here. Mainly because it is a few years old now (and was already lacking when new) but, also because running all the wiring and drilling through walls can be a real pain! These cameras could not be simpler to install. Two screws on the bracket and twist on the mount. Seems more than secure. The camera then mounts easily with a strong magnet, which makes adjustments super easy and basically infinite. Setup through Google Home is so simple as well! The only thing you would need is a decent wifi signal. I run mine from a Verizon wifi hub that is kept in my basement and I have a camera (including the Nest doorbell) on all four outside walls of my home. Being able to hear and speak through the cameras is also a huge plus! I use one of mine to mainly keep an eye on my son while he plays basketball in the driveway and can call him in if needed or he can call out to me through it as well. Only con I have come across so far is the battery life. While the battery life isn't terrible, it definitely doesn't last as long as I would have liked. With winter coming, I can imagine that would get worse. But, I solved all of this with the Wasserstein solar panels which are made specifically for these cameras and work wonderful! All in all, I would absolutely recommend these cameras to anyone looking to upgrade their security.

They are cool but if you dont have time to figure out how to connect and try many times to enable them first time, with many fails, then get a DVR with cables that record constantly instead of battery that wont dave 24/7 unless ya can figure out how to enable it through programming AND connections and power Kicks ass though

I wanted to like the Google Nest Outdoor Cam, but it hasn’t lived up to expectations. The battery depletes far too quickly, requiring frequent recharging, and the camera often loses connection despite having a Wi‑Fi extender installed to boost the signal. It’s a sleek device with good video quality, but the reliability issues make it hard to recommend.

Easier than expected to install! I purchased 3 pack of battery operated and they have an internal magnet that sticks to the mount that you drill into the wall. It is easy to adjust the angle because of the magnet. They look sleek and modern and the picture is very clear when I use the app on my phone to see the camera.

Quality product and very easy to set up. I was skeptical about the battery life but I have all three in very low traffic areas and it’s looks like I’ll only have to recharge them every five to six weeks. The only downside is the limited amount of recording time. I believe it only saves recordings for three hours so I am buying the service that gives me 60 days of history for $100 a year.

Great picture quality. Battery life can be an issue but not horrible. Haven't tried solar panel power yet but that would be a good idea. Do not record 24/7 so be aware that it records little videos based on settings of motion and length of video . Not everything within the cameras view will record if it doesn't set off the motion detection.

Easy set up and can be easily removed to charge. I wish there was more than one charging cord. Also wish the battery life was longer, I was hoping for at least two months since I live an hour away. But still learning about them but so far so good.

These were very to install. So far it’s been about a month a the batteries are at 76%. I think they will last 3-4 months on a charge. The picture quality is great and the sound is good. I have had good luck with all the google cameras all and all.

Camera quality is good. Pitty the home google service is rubbish! We have tried for over a year to get google to fix this and they do not care. Video may or may not load. Video may show for days as processing. For a $$$ service it is rubbish!

Forget the cheap cameras out there. This is the fourth brand I bought and the only one that lives up to expectations. Finally, something that works.
