Well written and motivating
I have read about 10 books on van/rv living over the last two months. This one is by far the most well written and motivating. I hesitated about buying this book because it is written by a young man from the UK who lives in a van all around Europe, whereas I am a late-fifties woman planning on doing my van dwelling in the US. I found this book to be applicable no matter your age or location. So many of these self-published books are poorly written, but not this one. I felt that the author was sitting in my home speaking directly to me. I am definitely going to purchase his other book.

If you are considering, or are, on the road, this is a must have...
This is an exceptional book.. From making the decision to hit the road, what is needed for success and comfort while full time van dwelling, and informing his readers of the pro’s and con’s of, seemingly, all considerations, he has produced a book that is well written and a joy to read!!

Pretty good book, but NOT the one on how to convert a van
Not how to set up your van, but some good stuff about living in it and traveling around the world. Matt is funny and has a lot of insight into why live in a van, how to quit your job and how to make money on the road (kind of sketchy details, but you have to follow your own path).

Informative, inspiring and down to earth
As a 66 year old female, I’ve had my van for about 8 months. A low roof 2017 ford transit extra long body. It took me a while to insulate and panel the inside and it doesn’t look all that great but it’s got me out of my rut. I have solar, a bed and a portapotty. What else could one want. I’ve already crossed the USA once with snow storms behind me all the way and can’t wait to do it again. Thanks for the extra encouragement

An inspirational read
I enjoyed reading this book. Mike has a very relaxed, easy-a-read writing style. He is very passionate about van life and speaks from a position of experience. I can't think of anything he left out. I'm hoping to get my hands on his other book - "From Vs to Home" - and read it, too.2 years 9 months & counting till Van Life!

Your Guide for Taking the Leap - well-written, encouraging and practical tips and strategies
Mike's writing style makes it easy to imagine taking the next step toward any goal you have. I've read both his books even though my goal isn't to live in a van, ...but it does involve ditching the traditional way of living for something which suits me better. His practical philosophy and implementable tips and strategies lend themselves to other goals well.I hope my kids each read his book and follow his blog. They will understand me even better, and will be further encouraged to follow their own path.

Must have reference
Considering it is written for the UK, it is very well written for us on this side of the pond. The writer keeps you interested and has great stories of his own. Being that I got this book for more research and ideas as I am in an overlanding stage in my travels with the vehicle, and also live on a boat, the book reigns true with what he preaches lol.Definitely a book you want if you are even considering this life, by land or by sea
