Getting the laptop apart is straightforward and there are plenty of videos showing how to do it. There were 4 screws holding the old battery in. There is Loc-Tite on the screws, making them a little more difficult to unscrew. In addition, my old battery was so swollen that it was really pressing up on the screws, making them extra tight. Once I got the screws out, the new battery was in place and the laptop powered up in 5 minutes. The new battery appeared to be identical to the old battery (minus the swelling), and when I booted up, the battery was at 83% and finished charging quickly. So far I am quite pleased.

Battery is worn out on my 3 year old computer but it is still working great so instead of upgrading thought id figure out how to replace the battery. After a you tube video of how to take the case off the back it was super simple and I'd recommend to everyone who has never replaced a battery before. Its not that hard once you get the case apart. The whole process took about 15 min (again... searching for the video to figure out the removal of the case is included in that time.) Once case was off, pull one battery, plug the other in... done. Super happy.

When i bought the, nearly a year ago, i was hoping to at least get a few months out of it, before having to buy a new laptop. It's still going strong. They tell you you it takes several cycles of letting it completely die and fully recharge before it holds a normal charge. For me it took closer to 20, but now it will hold a charge for a week or more when I'm not using it, and several hours of use while unplugged, just as the original did. Fir me, the hardest part was getting the laptop open. I wasn't expecting to need special tools for this other than the provided screw drivers. I used a thin flat head screwdriver and watched a few YouTube videos. The case definitely has dings along the edge now, but these are easy to put up with compared to the money I saved.

I bought this for my HP 15-dw1083wm, and the size was exactly right. I had never changed a laptop battery before, so I looked up a guide online and did it in less than 15 minutes. Once you pop open the case, you basically just remove the screws holding in the old battery and replace it with the new battery. This battery fit well, but didn't sit quite as flush as the old battery. The screws went in just fine, and there were no complications. After the new battery was in and the laptop case back on, I turned the laptop on, and it started with no issues. There was no configuration needed. It just worked! It's been about three weeks since then, and I haven't had any issues with the new battery. It holds a charge, and the battery lasts longer than the old one. It also charges at a decent rate. Definitely an improvement over what was in there. I would've changed out the battery sooner had I known how easy the process would be. Also, I like that the tools are included with the new battery. Definitely hanging on to those for any future repairs! Update: I started having issues with my laptop dying on me when the battery percentage got low. My son suggested it was the energy saver feature on my laptop not playing nice with the new battery. He was right! I turned the energy saver off, and now the laptop doesn't shut off at low battery percentages. Just an FYI for anyone who might run into that.

I would give it zero stars if possible. This battery lasted less than 6 months. Even while still "working" it hardly held a charge. A complete waste of money and time.

The original HP battery lasted a little less than 3 years. This replacement battery lasted 21 months, and I am constantly on my laptop for work purposes. For the price, this battery was not too bad to avoid buying a new laptop altogether. The screwdrivers work well, but I recommend a flat head screwdriver or similar tool to help pry the back of HP pavillion 15 open.

Install was made easier with supplied screw drivers. Totally perfect fit, so far it has charged and been working beautifully! Totally worth the price so far. UPDATE: I was getting ready to replace this laptop because of a drop in performance. Installing this battery has renewed its performance, it starts faster and responds much better. I now HIGHLY recommend you try a battery install before recycling your laptop due to performance issues. Very happy I used this company, came nicely packaged and on time.
