I love these lights. They are very bright, the colors look vibrant, and the RGBIC effects are much better than basic LED strips where the entire strip has to show the same color. Setup was straightforward, and the Govee app gives plenty of control over brightness, colors, scenes, and animations. The Matter support is also a nice bonus for connecting the lights with a smart-home setup. Govee products are hard to beat for the price, and this strip has been another great purchase. It looks good, works reliably, and adds a lot of personality to a room or desk setup.

I set these lights up in my entertainment center and they look amazing. I already use Govee lights behind my TV and the two sets complement each other perfectly. The way the colors flow together makes movie nights and gaming sessions feel like a full experience. Setup was quick, the app control is smooth, and the integration with Alexa works flawlessly. The colors are vibrant, the effects are fun to play with, and they just feel like good quality. They have been running for a while without any flickering or peeling which shows they are built to last. For something this affordable, the performance and durability are outstanding. I honestly would give them more than five stars if I could. I love Govee products and will keep coming back for more.

While I certainly appreciate the lower end Govee strips for their versatility at their price point, this feels like Govee's flagship light strip. Pros 1. Bright. As bright as the older Philips Hue light strip it replaced if not more so. 2. RGBIC means multiple colors on a single strand, which I wanted. This isn't the only Govee light strip with it, but I wouldn't have bought it without the feature. 3. 6.5 feet is exactly as long as I needed to line the back of a desk. 4. Works with my Google Assistant without issue. 5. App is easy enough to use once you get used to it. 6. Easy to use overall, plug and play. 7. I appreciate that it came with a adhesive and also optional clips in case the adhesive didn't work. My adhesive worked fine but if it ever stops, I have the clips to put it back up. 8. There are 11 controllable zones in the app, with the multitude of LEDs, the animations and color transitions are nice. Neutral 1. Requires a hub to work with Samsung SmartThings. Not a complaint for Govee, but an FYI for you, fellow Amazon shopper. Cons 1. Provided that this thing doesn't die on me in like 6 months, I have no cons. It's exactly what I wanted. I probably wouldn't have bought this thing at full price, but with Black Friday sales, Govee has a great price to performance ratio with this light strip that outpaces everyone. Totally worth it.

I bought these lights because I was looking to add to a gift for my boyfriend, who is a DJ. I saw so many high rated LED light strips, but almost all of them had universally meh to bad audio response. I was looking for some specifically that do well reacting to music since my boyfriend loves to DJ. These were expensive, but offered a coupon. I Would've said they were too expensive, but they do so much. They have smart home integration so you can controll them with alexa, google, etc. Or even just directly through the Govee home app. I recommend using the app because it has so many settings and features. I love all the modes it has and you can get pretty in depth at creating your own. It doesnt have to just respond to music, it can also just be a solid color, or several, or moving lights, etc. There are so many options. I usually have it set to the Music response mode, but you can really set it to whatever you like. It only comes with about 16 feet of lights, as it says, which isnt enough to circle a whole room, but I only really wanted it on the wall where our DJ and PC stuff is, so it was fine, however you can easily extend it with another set. You dont just have to set it up on the wall though, you could do it under a bed frame, behind a tv, etc since it works for ambient purposes as well and just general lighting use. Very easy to set up and even easier to install. Feels very good and quality. Has held up super well with frequent use. The lights come with a remote looking thing, which is where the mic is, so you should make sure if you're using it for music, you should put it near the source. Dont worry about it being too loud like with loud speakers, because you can adjust the sensitivity in the app, which is great if you want to prevent it from reacting to you talking or other quiet noises. The mic is impressively sensitive, so that's great. You can also make you phone the mic if you feel the need. Can't recomend enough. Do note that these are for indoor use, though. If you're looking for outdoor, Govee does make some and they look pretty good. Very interested in getting those.

First off, the actual light output and quality seems good. What is not good is the software. In theory this unit supports MATTER which is supposed to make everything seamless across platforms and to relieve the user from having to install dodgy OEM software for control. To do this MATTER devices have either a QR code or a numeric code to identify it either on the device or on the packaging. Let your device of choice (Alexa in my case) see the QR or enter the code and magic happens and the device is controllable as if it was native. Guess what? To do this with the M1 you must first install THEIR software, which MATTER was supposed to supersede, and then figure out how to query the program to get it to show you the QR and code. MATTER was supposed to eliminate the OEM software but Govee still makes its use mandatory. Adding insult to injury, I had to install the software on an old phone so that it could show the QR to my "real" phone. In case you haven't guessed I'm not too chuffed with this product and their software so I was probably overly generous giving even three stars. ADDENDUM/CORRECTION: I have learned that there is a QR code on an inconspicuous tag on the cord of the control dongle looking very much like one of your standard safety tags so an extra point for GOVEE but there is still the problem that this is not spelled out anywhere in the vague instructions AND their support person was the one who told me that I had to install and use the OEM app to get the code. Maybe the could fix all of this with some usable instructions and some training in their support department. Again, this strip does have about the best light quality and intensity I've seen from an LED strip and each LED is addressable (but it seems not using MATTER)

I purchase two rolls of these specifically for lighting under the rail of a poker table I was building. I cut the second strip at the first spot that I could cut the strip according to Govee. I used the pre-installed connectors to add that section to the first strip and it works really well. Occasionally I have to update the length to get that last section to respond to app control. I was left with about 14ft of the second roll and another power supply/controller. I wanted to use the rest considering these LED lights were $100 when I purchased them. I bought some 4 pin connectors here on amazon and soldered one to the strip figuring I'd use that remaining LED tape somewhere. I ended up putting some on the back of my monitor. Again, I had about 3-4 feet left over. I wanted to cut that and add it to each of my speaker stands. I soldered everything up and tested, it worked great. When I installed and added 12' of extension, the last section was messed up. The LEDs were flashing and colors were off. Some sections didn't respond at all. I'm thinking something internally got messed up from installing. I ended up throwing away the speaker stand sections. I understand not everyone is going to be using this product like I attempted to, and at the current price, these are a great buy. I use Govee can lights in my office as well and I've created a macro in the app so I can press one thing and all the office lighting comes on. If you're on the fence, dont be. My monitor is two feet away from the wall and they light up the wall great, as you can see in the pic. They're bright and can have custom lighting chases and color changes. very cool.

My 4 and 2 year old could not be more excited and joyous by this product. Setup was extremely easy, and the self-adhesive backing made applying the strip alongside the inside of their bunk bed very easy. There is a big physical controller with on/off, color rotation and mode rotation buttons the girls can play with for hours. The app is also extremely easy to setup, absolutely flawless and simple, nothing technical at all. The most fun part of the app is the AI integration. You can type or even speak anything at all and it designs a pattern. My 2 year old can say, “Elsa eating a cupcake” and it will generate a blue and white sparkly display with pink and rainbow touches, all based on this sort of suggestion. It’s a toy with endless possibilities. These lights get very bright, but the app comes with an easy dimming feature. Overall the color reproduction and the closeness of these lights makes for a high quality experience. I literally do not care at all about the unboxing experience but someone spent a lot of time making it really nice. It feels like an Apple product, lots of easy instructions and simple design. 10/10, this is a very good product and it was 100% worth the investment.

A lot better than the hue light strip is more flexible to use easy setup and use with the govee app would highly recommend

If you want customizable options for colorful lighting this is an excellent choice. This particular one is more expensive because it has more LEDs per ft. If you want more consistent and detailed lighting, go with this one. The govee app is easy to use and a great choice if you're not familiar with setting up and programming your own LEDs. One thing I don't like is that the app requires you to use Bluetooth wifi and GPS when connecting and changing settings for your lights. It's a personal preference since my head always hurts after prolonged exposure to GPS and Bluetooth radiation. I just turn it off after I'm done using the app. If I had it my way I'd use only wifi to connect it. Setting up is pretty easy and the instructions are very clear. These lights are vivid and bright! I find 15-25% brightness is enough for my place.

This is no doubt the best LED strip product on the market - I have used few different product before this specific one. it is super bright, VERY easy to install and operate. As clsoe as it gets to perfect. What makes the product PERFECT is the service. I purchased 8 units and one had a minor issue. I contacted the company support and they simply send me a new product. Easy, and super willing to help. I am truely impressed and highly recomend the product.
