Yes, this shoe is non slip. It grips the rocks really well and keeps you from slipping, wife loves them. But keep in mind, if you step on a wet rock or surface with seaweed or algae you will slip no matter what shoe you wear.

I don't have that particular problem with mine. I have heard that if you have the type of issue you are describing, it means the shoe is too big. I actually had to size down a half size with these (I bought the zinc grey). Hope that is helpful.
