APCO Premium Adjustable Magnifer Lamp

I bought this to replace the exact same model that was 15+ years old. These are built well with all metal construction.The magnifier itself is glass which eliminates the edge distortions found on the cheap LED swing-arm lamps that have a plastic lens.

Well, I like it, but I don't like the thick circular frame. It was easy to assemble and it does help me (finally) see fine details when I'm using my dremel bits. Be careful when unwrapping it, the coils bounce out when untying the secure tie down on the stand.102318_I haven't used this light since I bought it, maybe once or twice in January. Then it sat until I started up a new art project this month. Now, the bulb burned out, I bought two replacement bulbs (one to have as a spare) from Home Depot Philips T9 22w 6500k circuline (is what I found online), but neither bulb will work. I tt/an electronics company that works on lamps, she told me the transformer may have went out. But, it is a bit soon for this to happen. Having the electronics company replace the transformer with labor would cost as much as a new lamp.I'm waiting to hear back from the seller about the type of bulbs used for this APCO magnifying light. Unfortunately, I didn't get the warranty since I have never had a standing light floor lampor a regular desktop lamp ever stop working. Bulbs burn out, I replace, life is good. Not this time...ouch, I need my bright magnifying light bulbs to work.I am taking my review back to two stars until I hear back from the seller, esp. if I have to replace this lamp without finding out the right kind of bulbs to buy.110518_I heard back from MJK Graphics right away. He is contacting the manufacture to see if they can help; hopefully they will honor less than a year warranty. If not, I'll have to take this to a lamp repair company 50mi from where I live to have the transformer repaired.While I'm not happy the transformer went out, within a year of purchase, but the fact that I have barely used this lamp is what is disturbing. On another note, I'm very happy with the vendor response time and willing to help. This is what I like about customer service. Thank you MJK Graphics.

heavy duty indeed , just need to know where to buy accessories for it, larger lens we'll worth it...
